Donerix, any updates on this? Re-reading all of Freddy's 6542 threads and I am in love with that insert. I just picked up a vintage 1675 but it hasn't fully satisfied my lust for a 6542...

Absolutely stunning. I am in awe. That watch is beautiful. When you say the dial was repainted, the "happy motoring" thread shows a back refinished dial. How did the white dial cone about?

I have an MBW DRSD en route with a missing pearl. What is the best source for a gen looking pearl? I have Red 1680 with a gen insert and pearl and the pearl is simply stunning I am afraid I will be disappointed with anything but gen. Alternatively, I've looked on VRF and gen inserts for a 1665 rarely come up. Thanks for the input

Very nice.although I love the new ceramic blue smurf, the "old" blue has something special about it. That's why I love the Tudor blue sub! I wish had your skills.
