  1. Ditto (though that is likely to begin a downward spiral that can only end financial ruin - & your MBW transformed into a gen).
  2. No idea who it is, but seller has a pretty extensive history of average-looking aftermarket Rolex parts (mostly $89). Likewise, I do not see anything especially remarkable about his Sub case.
  3. Click me (yes, this fits an MBW or any other case that accepts gen bezel parts) & replace the pearl with an Ofrei illumines dot. There are many threads discussing/reviewing these that you can search out for additional details.
  4. The Arcade is definitely a watch lover's dream & no 1 here will think you are weird it you want to post (many) more pics.
  5. As others have said, that is not a dial that Rolex would have fit into that case. A yellow gold dial would be typical of a 16013, which would have a yellow gold crown & bezel (& likely a champagne datewheel). That is not to say you cannot do it & I am sure that a number of dealers listed on RWG will be happy to put together whatever combination of dial & case you want.
  6. I have a friend who's been in the entertainment business in London for many years and, as I understand it (due to the current recession), it is unlikely that any of the major production companies would be willing to chance new talent. He has been having alot of trouble getting any of his usual clients to take anything on from him. So your best bet is probably a small company like Epyry73's friend. Good luck though.
  7. Love the dial & not to put too much of a damper on the game, but I think you need a more accurate bezel/insert &, unless it is just the camera angle, your winding crown looks fake (too wide).
  8. I am not aware of any guide to stem length for either gens or frankens. New stems must generally be cut to fit your specific crown/tube, case & movement.
  9. The differences are minor, but Rolex xtals are clearer and produce a sparkle that is lacking in aftermarkets, including Clarks. But if you go aftermarket, Clark's is definitely the way to go.
  10. Not a fan of Natos, but the watch looks good.
  11. The last set of pics on this thread are what I based my comments on. In any case, I agree with Nick1972's comments above.
  12. Very nice! Prices vary depending on parts used, the specific model, who built it & who is selling. Not sure of a source for 'Texas' dials & I would always factor-in the cost of a full overhaul when purchasing a pre-built franken. Click me
  13. Based on the pics, I would guess it is all aftermarket. If you can get good, clear macro full-frontals of the caseback (exterior), lug numbers & dial, we may be able to do more than guess.
  14. A group shot of some of the collection
  15. I believe all of the major parts suppliers sell them. Just search any of those sites for springbars that include 'Swiss-made' (or similar) in the description.
  16. Not perfect & you need to center the hyphen between SEA & DWELLER, oval the (outer) sides of the date window & then it will be a winner.
  17. As explained above, the rivets used in US-made bracelets are hollow while the Swiss-made bracelets have solid rivets. This, along with the width of the center links, is how the 2 can be identified (& differentiated). 7206 or 6636 with (integrated) 80 end links were spec'd for early 5513s. A folded link 9315 with (integrated) 280 or 380 ends were spec'd for mid-range 5513s (a 9315 with 380s is what I have on my pre-Comex 5513). A solid link 93150 with 580s was spec'd for the final 5513 series. The bracelet in your pic looks like a 7206 (or 6636 - they look the same) with 58 end links, which, while not officially spec'd, do fit as you can see. You will likely have problems fitting the proper 2mm dia springbars into Yuki's 7206 bracelet (though, while you may destroy a springbar or 2 in the process, it can be done), but, otherwise, it is almost an exact copy of the gen. They are so close that I often get them confused (I posted a review of the bracelet a few years ago with a bunch of comparison pics that you can search out). I would avoid getting the spring version as they are extremely uncomfortable &, while they look like the gen, as soon as you put both on the difference is immediately apparent (the gen pulls your arm hairs in a silky smooth manner, while Yuki's plucks them out with stiff, tight & ill-fitting ease).
