Apparently, once stupid, always stupid.................................. French President Francois Hollande Welcomes Refugees Despite Paris Attack

Impossible to say without trying them. The problem with aftermarket cases is that there is little or no quality control or consistency of parts. A gen tube or xtal may fit perfectly into 1 case, but they may not fit in the next case from the same source. Because the crown fits onto the tube (not the case), a gen crown will fit a properly installed gen tube. Most (not all) of the time, you can get a gen tube to fit into most cases. However, you may need to retap the threading since in the case depending on the type of threading used for the original (aftermarket) tube. But, again, the only way to know what gen parts will fit YOUR case is to try them on your case. There are hundreds of construction threads on RWG that you can research via the Search. I would recommend you do that. Also, check out the pinned articles in the Watchmaking forums.

I generally prefer bracelets to straps on a 62xx Daytona, but always love seeing them no matter what affixing device their owner chooses.

A lot of brilliant GMTs in this thread, including the OP's 'new' 1. Well done gentlemen.

If you find yourself back near these shops, tell them you are a member of the world's top replica watch collector forum (& feel free to refer them here). Then, ask if they will permit you to take pics of the store for the 40,000+ RWG members (who are all potential buyers). That may sway them to be a bit more favorable towards your pic request. And good post!

'Accurate' is the key word. 100% accuracy will cost you a gen. 98% accuracy will cost you several thousand dollars for a high-end V72 franken. 95% accuracy will cost you 4-5 grand for a good V72 franken. 90% accuracy can be had for several hundred dollars for a 775x rep.........& so on. There are many threads you can find via the Search detailing the options. Although it has not been updated for a few years, a good place to start is Bytor's Daytona review.

My sympathies to the people of Paris and a warning for the rest of us: we had better take off the gloves and acknowledge that these fiends are waging war on the civilian populations of the west before it is too late.

Buy the seller, before you buy the Rolex. Unless the seller is a known, long-time Rolex collector/seller, I would presume aftermarket until/unless proven otherwise.

Try some local watchmakers. Alternatively, you can buy generic hands from most of the usual watch parts sellers (eg, ofrei.com). You will need to know the hole size to order the correct hands for your Lemania movement. -

Pull stem out to time-setting position prior to removal.

I agree with most of the others' comments, but your xtal looks odd. Are you sure it is Clarks & the correct xtal for that Sub? Maybe it is just the perspective from the camera, but the view through the xtal looks wrong.

Nicely done....................so far.
