Replace the coronet on the black dial with a gen & you will not regret it.

Unless the case/crystal are low profile, they may not fit in between the jaws of that press. Although I have a few presses, most of the time (nearly always), I use a pair of delrin die that fit the case & a Sears portable vice with rubber jaw liners. Easy to use & works perfectly every time.

No crystal retainer ring on a Daytona. Once you have removed the bezel & movement, a hair dryer should soften the cement. If not, since you have a gen replacement, just force the crystal out or use a small hammer to break it apart. As alligoat said, the bezel is likely to be slightly too small to fit over the (thicker) gen xtal, so you may need to grind a bit out of its inner circumference to make it fit. But, also as alligoat said, be sure to test-fit frequently as the dividing line between too tight & too loose comes very quickly. & once you go too far (ie, too loose), your only option is to replace the bezel. Good luck.

1st, I was not aware that anyone, including DW, was using MM anymore. Are you sure it is a MM? 2nd, the pushers that DW has been using are the same as those sold by ofrei.com & other watch parts houses. So, if yours are too short, simply purchase another set (you cut them to fit your movement). Anyone who works on chronos (I am not accepting any new work, so please do not PM me) can clean/lube/adjust a MM, but it is nearly impossible to find replacement parts, which is why they are not generally used anymore. Once a part is needed, your only real option is to replace the movement (I believe, but cannot guarantee, that a 7750 can be made to fit the case).

In the case of some weapons, yes. But, in the case of most small arms (pistols, rifles), the improvements are designed to defend oneself with more efficiency. Well, there you hit upon the precise problem - criminals, by definition, do not follow laws; only law-abiding citizens do. That is precisely why the laws that limit the law-abiding only make it easier for criminals to harm the innocent. & that is why the US allows the law-abiding to keep & bear arms (including automatic weapons, with appropriate licensing). In those countries/state where it is difficult for the law-abiding to arm themselves, you find the most crime & instances of mass murder. Well, you are partly correct. Intimidation only works if the person you are trying to intimidate has a reason to believe you are likely to use that weapon. If not, they will walk all over you, no matter what you have (Obama is a good case in point here). Agreed.

The word in bold (madman) is the problem, not the inanimate objects he used (knife, BMW & handguns). How do you figure the bad guys will always have more lethal weapons? That makes no sense.
