Congrats on your new Gmt
The engraved rehaut would drive me nuts. It can be sanded off if done properly though.
Overall looks nice for an inexpensive watch. Welcome to the forum.
Couldn't agree more. These guys really are watch modders.. and not designers.
Someone already posted a link to one of pbad's inventions.....and that is what I thought of instantly when I saw this watch.
No offense to pbad, but this is an extremely expensive modder's project.
You know....the article says 60 watches to be built.
Dr B. sells nos 8mm Brevit crowns, still in the package for 1000$ each. That's sixty thousand dollars....in crowns alone! I realize they didn't pay that much for them, but that gives an idea of the scope of this project.
Spooky,
TC uses a press, and if you go to his blog he has a well written article with pics on how he does it.
Each of these watches seem to be mm's in difference, my gen insert snapped right in with serious finger pressure.
Any more pressure than where I was at, and I would have used a press. If you have no press (cheap) you may want to try a watchmaker so you don't bend a gen insert.
It's probably an illusion fueled by my wishful thinking..........but....and a big but......the bezel looks a little thicker than normal, and the crystal might be a little taller than a 16610...
I have had it happen several times, tracking says handed over to customs...the watch is on my doorstep.
I learned a long time ago EMS tracking is next to worthless. Now I just make payment, and forget about the watch. If it hasn't showed up in three weeks I go lookin for it.
