  1. Yep, send it off for service. Always include a service when you buy a watch, and you will always be happier. The TD's can be great guys and all, but when you order your watch...they rarely stock them and they go and get your watch, pack and ship to you. The movements that come in these reps can be pulls from older watches or broken and quickly repaired movements. Not a nice new freshly installed eta movement. Sometimes you can get lucky and buy a new rep without a problem, but your better off in the long run just to figure a service when you buy it.
  2. I'm curious too, with zig gone, who can do work on a similar level?
  3. I wouldn't start with anything less than TC, Bk, Wm9 or ST%%T*M& case. You want and need genuine bezel construction. The TD's don't offer anything like this.
  4. He might mean Narikka sometimes can get MBW watches.
  5. Sorry, I didn't mean to throw a wrench into the works. Both methods have positives.
  6. Interesting, I hadn't heard about this movement. Curious to how many different model of watches this would work for and fit. I've owned two of the manual winds and both have performed flawless.
  7. If Freddy says it's rep....that's good enough for me. Nice looking dial ... but a bit too dark for my tastes.
  8. I like both methods, but as auto pointed out some of the con's for the DG, sneed's Eta 2846 method can be purchased from eBay seller "Swisstickers" for as little as 89$ shipped. That's a nos real Swiss movement.... no need for a hammer at service time.
  9. I am surprised at the number bidders...look at the watchers too! The rehaut, the insert..look at that pearl! It's all just wrong. It does have decent looking serial and ref numbers..lol

That came out very good! Congrats!
  11. The 6694 is 35mm and wore very nice on my small wrist. The one your asking about is only 30, I'd think it might really be small on a mans wrist. I'm not a fan of the big watches either, I wear the 39-40mm main Rolex.
  12. The good points if your looking for a like new watch, redialed and polished, and looks like they did an excellent job. And a good price for all that work. The bad points are like anything, originality is lost. Just depends on your needs. It's a good clean solid watch for a good price. I'd check out the seller thoroughly though.
  13. Yeah top left bezel is off. I want a Daytona!!!
  14. Wow sneed! This all happened while I was gone, this is the first I've seen it. Fantastic job! As soon as I get back up and caught up..we need to talk!
  15. Sheesh! He must have a crazy ego to jump into that fire...what a maroon!
  16. Absolutely knocked that one out of the park grifter!! The only thing missing.... is my wrist under it!!
  17. It's a good lookin sub! What is it?
  18. Do you have a picture showing the problem? The easiest solution is to buy a genuine clasp. If your diligent, and patient, they can be had for a reasonable cost. I have a few gen clasps, nothing feels the same, especially they way they snap shut.
