  1. This is an excellent question and not an easy one to answer unless you are looking at rep to gen in person. Black is black and it is rather easy to replicate, however there are an infinite number of shades in blue and photographs cannot capture the blues perfectly. I have seen a gen 252 and it is a great looking Pam, but have not seen a rep yet and would like one, but wondered the same thing myself.
  2. Really now? I also heard that gay males are prone to wearing pants and shirts.
  3. High prices? Ha! Don't buy them and quit whining!
  4. In a few days your watches will arrive and they will surpass your expectations. No need to be nervous.
  5. I spoke to a couple of friends today who saw it yesterday and they said that watching a steaming plate of poop for two hours was about the same as this film. This had me wondering if they had ever had the opportunity to actually see a pile of feces hot enough to emit steam for two hours and on top of it, placed on a ceramic plate. Not wanting to press the issue, I took them for their word. I'll take a look when it is on cable to judge properly.
  6. If anyone could appreciate a Big Bang....it was Marilyn...
  7. Thanks for the link Hike. Both of these sites are informative and it has been awhile since last visiting them.
  8. Wow lau lau! Those photos of MJ's are beautiful. Really captures Hawaii.
  9. Interesting indeed. Thanks for posting it.
  10. Reading through this post it is amusing how I thought to myself that the wall clock in the gym suffices for time inquiries, then lo and behold, Lanikai states just that. I don't see how a hard sweaty workout is going to be improved by a wristwatch. They get in the way, get sweaty and possibly damaged. No watches in the gym has always been my choice and many seem to feel the same at the 24 hour fitness gym I use, a very busy place. I suppose for the nascisistic, wearing a fancy rep and dawdling about on the machines might provide some satisfaction, but for those who are there for a serious workout, I think not.
  11. Great post Lanikai. So you grew up right by the Kahala Hilton Eh? Very nice part of town. All those picks you have of Koko Head in the background bring memories for sure. We moved from Nuuanu Dowsett to Hanapepe Loop on Koko Head in 1974. Wish we still had that house. Hawaii in winter is the best. 75 degrees, great surf , beautiful hostesses and oustanding pupu's. Even though I lived on Maui for 10 years, Oahu is where I grew up and it is very close to my heart for sure. The best times of my life were there. Hawaii No Ka Oi !
  12. There is a watchsmith on Orchard Road in Singapore. I don't recall the name, but if you are there, you will find him. Good luck.
  13. Do some research on this webiste amonialying, you will have all your questions answered.
  14. Have you ever purchased one? Most if not all the many members here accept that the prices are what they are and some of us have spent many thousands of dollars on these rep watches which to us are a real bargain and bring much enjoyment. I suppose that one living on beans in a cave in the outback would find 298.00 to spend on a rep watch expensive, but as our wise friend Rodwc has pointed out, "Such is Life"
  15. Here are a couple of designs to consider. The first is good for New York as it combines office efficiency. This one will move along with stealth and people will be certain to clear a path for you. And this one is traditional, yet romatic to boot! Ahh life is full of choices!
  16. Just as the 911 is a classic automibile, this watch is a superb design as well.
  17. I have a copy of Downfall and after seeing it a number of times, this blu ray spin is hilarious. Funny stuff!
  18. I agree Lani, the Graham is one hell of a watch. It makes Panerai's crown guard look like a pimple. It is a cool watch with it's 'hand grenade pin' crown and I see quite a few people wearing them very distinctive.
  19. $298.00 is too expensive for a good rep like this? The dials are for once spaced properly and all in all it is probably one of the most accurate Omega chronos to come out, and a good price. Save your pennies or else buy a used Timex.
  20. Sounds logical to me Admin. Thanks for the reply to which I shall contribute to keep this place afloat and in good health.
  21. Lemania good. Buy and be happy.
  22. This is a beautiful watch. Great review. I think it might be my next, the design on this one is fantastic.
  23. My Davidsen Fiddy on a black GE Figlio, the gold stitching on this strap does work nicely with the watch, IMO.
  24. How unfortunate that there are so many cheap bastards out there who refuse to support a place as informative and valuable as this website. The question is why is there a 3% drop in supporters? What do you attribute this loss to, if you can ?
