  1. The best way to go is to get the entire bezel assembly, that way you know all the pieces are compatible. Gary at nostalgia-2000 on ebay, has a nice bezel assembly. It looks like gen, but it does not use a friction washer like gen. It is reasonably priced at $40-$50. I checked and he currently doesn't have one on ebay. The TC crystal retainer does not fit a gen bezel, the outer diameter is too big.
  2. I think the seller from Italy is selling rep divers extensions. The crown doesn't look right to me. Compare it to the crown from the first seller. Also, the italian seller says the part is 101% Rolex...hmmm
  3. Since the pearls from an aluminum bezel submariner don't fit the ceramic bezel submariner, it might be easier to buy a replacement ceramic bezel. Here's one that's not too expensive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CARVING-CERAMIC-BEZEL-FOR-SUBMARINER-OR-GMT-38MM-BLACK-/200786383791?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebfcd13af You could just use the pearl from it or replace the whole bezel.
  4. I'll ask him next time I see him.

  6. Will this one work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ETA-movement-parts-repair-calender-disc-X-1-for-2836-rolexoyster-date-mark-tape-/120961582163?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c29df4453
  7. Hi Dan, I wound up machining the TC crystal retainer to fit the gen bezel. There's a fair amount of trimming to do. The outside diameter needs to be reduced, and then cut a bevel on the underside for the bezel to snap over. Once I got the diameter to the right size and the bezel would snap on, the retainer was too thick...the bezel wouldn't rotate. I didn't have the spec's for a gen retainer, so there was a lot of sneaking up on the correct thickness. It would definitely be easier to buy a gen retainer, or a properly sized rep retainer. Thanks, Bob.
  8. You-know-who? As in he-who-can't-be-named? Lord Voldemort sell watch cases?
  9. Hi Guys, I checked his auctions, but he currently doesn't have a listing for one. Here is the link to the bezel that I received: http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_1340wt_1270 Hope this helps, Bob.
  10. I received my Clark's bezel yesterday and put it on my TC case. I didn't have a crystal in the case, so the bezel wasn't tight to the case. I have a gen 16610 bezel on another TC sub and the Clark's is spot on to the gen. I installed a gen insert in the Clark's and it went in without a problem. This is a very good upgrade to the stock TC bezel.
  11. Yes, bezel, retaining ring, and click spring...$42 w/free shipping. I have one coming, should be here today or tomorrow. I'll post how it looks compared to a gen 16610 bezel. Bob.
  12. I just needed to be patient. PayPal never sent me a note saying a shipping label had been printed. My crystal arrived today and looks great! Thanks BigCrown!
  13. Hi Woof*, I'm not having trouble with the insert, I'm having trouble with bezel ring that the insert snaps into. The TC bezel snaps on the crystal retainer just fine, but the gen is just a little smaller than the TC. Here's a link to a bezel from wholesale outlet on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEZEL-INSERT-S-STEEL-FOR-ROLEX-SUBMARINER-16610-PART-/310304838667?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f9c140b#ht_4842wt_1270 I wasn't sure if I had to buy one of these too, or if it would even fit a gen bezel? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RETAINING-BEZEL-INSERT-FOR-ROLEX-SUBMARINER-16610-16800-/310304841634?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f9c1fa2#ht_4918wt_1270 Thanks, Bob.
  14. Greetings, Has anyone tried to change the bezel on their TC v4 sub with a gen bezel or other aftermarket bezel? I recently received a gen bezel and tried to install it on my TC sub. The crystal retainer is too large for the bezel to go on. I don't know if I should get an aftermarket crystal retainer and see if it is the correct size, or just chuck up the TC bezel in the lathe and turn it down a few thousandths. Anyone else tried a bezel swap on a TC sub? Thanks, Bob.
  15. Greetings, I need to ship a part from the U.S. to China. Is the best shipping method EMS? Are they paired up with anyone here such as USPS? I've looked online, but haven't found who they use here. Thanks, Bob.
  16. I think this might be the same watch that he tried to auction off earlier, but was pulled by ebay. http://www.rwg.cc/topic/147560-this-is-interesting/page__hl__interesting
  17. Any news on when the new DWO will start being shipped?
  18. Try some heat. It may be easier to put the bracelet in a pan with some cooking oil and heat the pan to about 300-350 degrees F.
  19. You are correct. Watch has incorrect hand stack...definitely rep
  20. Greetings, Has anyone purchase a bezel from Star Time for their 16610 sub? Is it accurate? How do you get around the wholesale only sales? http://store.startim...te-Bezel-sapsub Thanks, Bob.
