  1. Thanks for clarifying. And agreed all details do match, al stuff in the right place. Except for the boldnes of the white print and lack of refinement. {EDIT]Guess you are right on the photo analomy thing[/EDIT] Anyhoo al these "R O LE X" type dials look funny from a esthetic point of view IMO.
  2. All text is too fat, what i find strange is the second marker track is oval. The markers touch the rehaut @ 12 and 6, while are spaced from the rehaut @ 3 and 9. Whats up with that?
  3. Sure they are scammers, a swiss 7750 is atleast 400 usd alone. Stick with the trusted dealers.
  4. I dont mean no harm Puggy, glad to see you back posting... anyways my point being though probably unclear in my limited english, both sides can have fun with the ipad either if you love it or hate it... i just dont really understand talking about it... And for the record Wee Pad is an even worse name
  5. C'mon guys how long is this lame yes/no rally gonna take, everybody knows the sanitary ipads keep the girls connected during their periods ... True... its a lame product which keeps getting new and improved like... Always. Therefore it is the right product at the right time for the right people ... the wrong people buys their stocks instead of their products ...
  6. Old skool VC overseas. Amazing @ 169 usd, bought from paul around 2005. just look at the back engraving. Even the newer 42 VC overseas best model doenst have this amount of detail... One of the very first, but under rated 'super reps' Pauls info is wrong tho its a seagull 2892 copy and 8 mm thick.
  7. Your only option would be to source it from another member.
  8. Well... no movement expert here, but i got one of those no brand tourby's from Homer back in the days, and it has power reserve of about 40 hours and beats at 21,6. Seems like the PTS 3900 is a bit more sophisticated.
  9. Im curious about the movement, but, boy is this thing ugly
  10. When there is no brand name involved there will be no custom issues.
  11. Actually it is a copy of the Valjoux 7750, it became the ETA 7750 after ETA bought Valjoux.
  12. http://www.rwgforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=members&area=avatar And welcome
  13. There was a set for sale just recently, can't seem to find it tho, but was in the last 1 1/2 week.
  14. It is no secret, with rep rollies customers getting scammed in thinking buying a gen rollie. Now since rep eta's buyers will get scammed into thinking they buy eta. Indeed people are being too naive. Take rolexmans advice, expect a clone and pay for clone, not a penny more. On the other hand, what bothers me is senior members actually defending the cartel ( for example, however there are more) or even put a nice colored feather up their butts, while fact is the white lies keep going on and is straight against why rwgforum or the orginal TRC are set up in the first place. Dont get me wrong, not saying the cartel is a scam business, probably they get scammed by the factory (because they dropshop_ and ARE willing to work if one can prove not getting what they payed for. However this should not be the customers problem in the first place. The fact that senior members beautify dealers, will raise the threshold for noobs or others for that matter, to come out. IMO resulting in an opposite effect of RWG's goals ie to prevent scamming of any kind and keep an open mind.
  15. Holy thundercrap! Thats a mighty fine combo!
  16. Gues this is a product ment for the US marktet Think it's better to return it. The pillow looks enormus compared to the watch winder pillow. Changing to smaller pillows will result in the watches not being sturdy in the box, which makes aligning the watches a [censored].
  17. Also the OYSTER PER... line seems in serif.
  18. Insert is easily replaced, i guess most important is the retaining ring and the price of the whole. The worn bezel is actually very suitable for a lug-holed era sub.
  19. Very... very classy. Love the square crazy hours. Strap nicely finishes it off. Congrats! Edit: maybay change the signed clasp over to the IW strap?
  20. Dont forget the flat op A's in OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE
  21. Well, its a nice patek, but for the money i'd rather have this http://marina.fortunecity.com/westindia/59/ppc89.htm
  22. You made the case yourself? Man thats cool! Looks a bit like an oysterquartz case...
  23. Unfortunatly not. I am kinda diggin thisone: I love the two-tone lume! Panerai does make tourbys just not with the smiley sun/moon crap.
  24. I feel your pain bud, plexi rules. But leave the wm9 alone, if its at al possible you probably will be spending more then like rosnik says, just buy a vintage sub. Here is a reasonable priced starter http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlsv01017-vintage-1680-white-subalternative-swiss-2846-p-8533.html
  25. He is jerking you around. Watchmeister gave very sound advice. Check out ebay for similar items. 10k for a franken watch is grazy. The movement, although nice has no complication whatsoever, so it seem to me a more common caliber. Edit: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vacheron-Constantin-18K-YG-Large-52mm-Pocket-Watch-/170481156495?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Pocket_Watches&hash=item27b178018f Check it out, same caliber, gold casing BIN 7.5k
