Steelfish today.

I still think the old version of Explorer II (black) is the best ever otb Rolex replica. While it wasn't perfect of course (no rep ever is), it had ZERO "issues". It even had the correct crown position. Of course ExpII is much simpler watch to replicate. GMTIIc is the close second though... very good rep. They occasionally make good Rolex reps... but it's like the "million monkeys thing". They will probably replicate the new upcoming (and much uglier) Sub model eventually. It would be nice to get an updated 16610. Noobmariner with a bit deeper rehaut and smaller crown would suffice. I'm not holding my breath though. PS: You posted this twice so I deleted the other one.

I'm boring... I always wear the same watches. But I have so few left. Enjoying this today.
-
Looks definitely gen, but it's always difficult to tell when camera-illiterate people take the shots. I mean, how it is even possible to take pictures like that... must have been a serious effort.
-
Ok, no problem. You have to become supporter to see the dealer areas. But hang around a while and read... I'm sure you can find a suitable dealer for you. Joshua is a good dealer who carries virtually everything. http://www.pc-80108.com/ Good luck.

Now I see you have posted this same message for the THIRD time (to the Breitling area). I deleted it (again). Stop this immediately... there's no need to post the same message over and over again.

Welcome conteo! Read these two threads, they will get you started: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=12678 http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=68665 Happy hunting! PS: I merged your duplicate posts you made to different subforums. No need to post the same message twice.

Threads merged. One weekend wrist check thread is enough. This for Saturday.

Yeah, their prices USED to be very competitive. Now I don't see much difference. When you email Joshua, you'll get reply in HOURS... sometimes in minutes. Even Precious Time is very quick to reply although he operates the whole thing by himself. I think 24 hours is still very much acceptable... but 5 days is not.
-
I sent them an email recently... was going to buy insert for my SMP. It took them 6 days to reply it. Then I sent another reply, requesting payment information... and it took 4-5 days. I will never deal with them again. There are enough alternatives.

Still the GMT. Here's a fresh wristshot, even. Have a good weekend, all!

Thanks mate, but I really can't buy it from the US. Paying 22% vat when it hits the EU customs isn't my idea of fun. That's too bad as there are much better deals available over there. I will buy from Europe only.

I doubt it was intentional. Neil has never been a "Rolex guy", really.

I'm looking for a gen, so I'm constantly browsing the Ebey Uk. Check this one... all other pics are of a gen (stolen) and then the initial blurry main picture (which you can supersize) is a horrible POS. http://tinyurl.com/5up42g The idiot didn't even notice that the gen pics (that he has stolen) is an older tritium dial version with non-sels. However his actual watch has SELs (which look dreadful as well). What a complete moron!

The left one is a bad rep. Cyclops is way too right and it has ZERO rehaut thickness. Very obvious. The right one... difficult to tell from these pics, as they're less than stellar. Very unnatural lighting. But let me guess: The right one... rehaut looks too deep and it doesn't seem have the correct "cylinder" below the crystal (or then the lighting in your picture is distorting it and making it too smooth). Also, either it's the lighting again, or then there's not enough rehaut thickness. I suspect it's the old TW/MBW case. Also, the SEL isn't tight enough, the springbar is shining through from the SEL edges. See the next pic (SEL upper corner left, where your index finger is) Cg's looks excellent, crown is genuine, gen pearl, maybe a gen date font overlay. Very good rep... that's my guess. If you post a bit better pics, It'll be much easier to tell. PS: I'm talking about this one. Is this is the right one? If this is the left one, I need to rethink.

@Fxrandy: Have you ever bought from the dealers outside this site, places like Ioffer? -
Calm down gentlemen, they're just watches. No need to get so heated and personal. I'm closing this thread now.

Rule number one: Keep the reps out of water. Rule number two: See the rule number one.
-
Sell me your gen red/black insert.
-
Sorry Lani, I reserved that dial for Stephane already. PS: He didn't trust us enough because didn't post the auction link. Seriously, good luck mate!
-
Great collection, just great! I especially like the watches in the first pic. Not a big fan of PAM, but all the others... Looke like we share a similar taste in watches.
-
Oh that's easy man... just open the caseback and spray some CRC in there. Just kidding of course. Servicing a movement is not something that even experienced watch modders here can do. It's a job for real professionals. Don't even THINK that you could do it yourself without completely f*cking up your watch. All my 7750 reps have been running great (some for years already). You should be ok with it. Good luck with the purchase, SMP Chrono is one of the best reps out there.

I will get the Panda version of Ebel Discovery as soon as PT gets them into the stock. I think it's nicer and more sophisticated watch than the Speedy Date, just mho. But you're right, it has some characteristics from the Speedy. Not that there's anything wrong with the Speedy. No, it's very good looking watch... but that white dial and double AR on the Discovery... I also like the hidden clasp on the 1911 series very much, and those oversized pushers and polished bezel ring. Actually I can't think of many better looking chronographs.
-
That's just... NICE! And as you can see no real GMT fanatic even considers the all black bezel. Talking about nice 1675 with pointed crown guards... restorated perfectly. Well Nanuq wouldn't like this because it hasn't been beaten to a pulp.

One thing that's cool about reps is the resale value. The percentage that you get back from your watch is about the same (or even more) as in the gen scene. Rolex is an exception, but most luxury watches depreciate very quickly... and we're talking THOUSANDS of Euros/Dollars here. You can always get $200 for your (good and accurate) $300 rep in the resale. The loss is only $100. That's peanuts for any grown up who goes to work. Here in Europe you can't even buy a tank full of gas with that money. It makes "rotating" the collection very easy and rather cheap. Being a bit adventurous and impulsive in your buying is easy too. PS: Imagine buying the gen AP Roo... and after a few weeks you realized that it wasn't the right watch for you anyway.
