  1. There must me a mask that is applied to the crystal which allows the AR to adhere to the area under the datemag. Doesn't seem like too hard of a process for the mighty rolex.
  2. I miss my Inge. I need to get her heart beating again.
  3. @db2, SL is superluminova. I believe that they replaced the hands with new ones that are lumed with SL. the GMT hand and dial are tritium. you can see the difference in the white VS cream color in my second picture. My clasp is also not of the same vintage as the watch head, but only someone that knows the stamping codes on the inside of the clasp would know that...
  4. @ubi, enjoy that INGE. I still think it is my favorite watch of all time. I wish mine was running at the moment. I had this on during the day... and this tonight... (hard to believe the sub is a $100 watch)
  5. Finally have a chance to post. Been a crazy week. here is my 1675, the raffle gmt. the only thing I wish was "more gen" would be the replacement SL minute and hour hands. as for a good rep, I am pretty sure one does not exist. Great photos by all. @ nanuq, if you ever sell of the jubi, let me know. I prefer the GMT on jubi
  6. Don't know if they are being rep'd but that strap is awesome.
  7. I have seen 4 of these in my area, and only one do I feel was gen. it shined differently and the AR was easy to spot, since there was glare on the xstal and not on the cyclops. the others didnt seem to have the ar, and one was just a weak fake. they guys was wearing it super loose, didnt even size the bracelet... ive tried on the gen at the AD, I actually dont like the bezel or the shiney dial. I like the old alum. bezel and matte dial better. but im spoiled...
  8. I'm a photobucket guy, however I think the ability to upload to the site is helpful for som. Photobucket will autoresize images to certain sizes, I think trying to get that feature for site uploads would be an awesome addition. Great thread topic....
  9. spending a great week with my son, just him and me on vacation. wearing this one today...
  10. been a crazy few weeks for me at the office, but being invited to a private box for yesterdays red sox yankees game at fenway has erased all the bad from my mind. of course the 1675 had to be on the wrist... today I think I'm going to wear the Noob. been a while since she got any wrist time
  11. Congrats man, that's the email I got for the gmt. It's quite the feeling. Enjoy it.
  12. You know I love mine: the 2 flaws are the lume color (should be blue, nothing a trip to canada cant fix) and the crown guards should be more square at the crown, again nothing a file cant fix. I totally reccomend it, if you can find an AD first, try it on. it wears bigger than the UPO.
  13. @TJ, having been the lucky sob that won the raffle 1675, I'll shoot some pics for you of you want reference images. It is a thin case. It sometimes feels like I am not wearing a watch. Even wears smaller than my expII. Let me know if you want some pics.
  14. happy b-day R. I hope it's the best one yet.
  15. @dluddy, I have to try that one on, I am in total love... alittle blue lume today
  16. Gen movement? Great piece. I'd love to own the gen someday.
  17. @ gio, while at Disney, dont be fooled, their watchmaker cant do relumes, rebuilds, or frankens... and they call themselves watchmakers make sure you take a spin on the speedway, since you are wearing your daytona
  18. yes, I finally made time to shoot some pics of her. she is amazing. I felt a bit uneasy about her bracelet, stretch, wear etc. I replaced a few of the bracelet screws, here is a pic showing why, 30 years of wear on the poor screw has worn is halfway through: That type of wear I don't like, compromises the safety of the watch. however, the wear in these pics I love as they are the details that give this vintage character: end link wear at lug: wear the buckle: I am looking for a period jubilee for her, as in my opinion the GMT should be on one, if anyone knows of one, let me know
  19. still getting to know the 1675. may switch to the BR02 for the afternoon, she is getting jealous
  20. Ill share: I use nail files. you need to get the ones that are foam in the middle, you can get all grits, I get mine at a nail salon (they are better than the ones from the grocery store). small moves, let the file to the work... good luck!! ps- there are a bunch of posts on this, the search is your friend....
  21. about to pass the 10 year mark with the better half, I wish you both all the best. congrats!!
  22. we have run test here at my office using futuremark peacekeeper, (hxxp://service.futuremark.com/peacekeeper/index.action) it is amazing how slow IE is compared to other browser. I hate firefox, I use IE7 at the office, IE8 on my personal windows 7 machines (64bit) and chrome on my personal xp machines. if you havent seen peacekeeper, try it out and be amaazed. I know I was...
  23. I used a shaving lotion for about 3 years, it is weird at first, no weirder than shaving with peanut butter, but still weird. I found it over moisturized my skin, so now I use an aveno product, its a gel with oatmeal in it. its nice...
