Well that looks great! You could pick up a Yuki pearl to complete it, they're very good. The ETA 2824 is an interesting choice, the ETA 2846 has a slower beat that would match the 1966 year. Insert is fantastic, good call. Looking forward to seeing more pics!

Yeap, slightly perhaps. The bigger tell on the hands is the second hand. It's too long, tail and pointer. I may give it a trim when I'm feeling brave. The insert isn't perfect either, unless you pay big bucks, the options are very limited. Gen below.

The 80 endlinks are quite complex. The opening on the endlink itself is very narrow, so you need the correct end piece too for the spring bars.

Less is more when it comes to patina. Most gens I've seen have been well looked after and have subtle signs of aging. Here's my 1665 with the following specs: 1665 from PC 703 crown Singer dial, lume lightly stained with tea, light coating of matt varnish Yuki insert and pearl Polexpete DWO Shaped CGs Drilled out lugs to 1.2mm Softened case Tudor ETA hands ETA 2846 A few more builds with varying levels of "patina". 5513 PCG 5517 5513 feet first 5513 meters first

Thanks. I may give the inner diameter of the rehaut a go if it doesn't work out with the crystal options. However, that will be in Microns as the Singer dial is seated nicely.

Good point. I guess you mean the crystal. Could well be that the rehaut optically increases when the crystal is shortened. I may give the Sternkreuz T19 crystal a go, it should have less curvature. Either that or find a better case;)

Clip the feet and use dial dots to hold the dial in place. That's what I did:)
