  1. Probably will be, but, it won't work any better than the others as long as that A7750 is in it. It's like buying a 7 series BMW with a four cylinder engine that has burnt valves and worn out rings. All it would do is look pretty but blow smoke.
  2. By the end of the night, hopefully nothing......
  3. OMG! Well, he can't be feeling very good these days.
  4. Oh, joy, just what we all want to see, a 60+ year old Delta Force has been. Gross....
  5. That's cheap. I guess it has a quartz inside. Nothing wrong with that either. Buy more, and give them away as gifts! Cheap birthday or holiday gift.
  6. They ought to sell the shell of the watch as a kit and then we could plant a real movement in it. I've written this before, but, I'll never understand how some mfg'er can put all the fine work into that HHB and then he has to put a POS movement in it like the A7750. As the watch sits it's an all show and no go watch. You pay four or five hundred bucks for it and then if you have any cash left over you contact Rob to see if he has the time to make it right. Not sure what that would cost, but, assurdly you're going to fork over two or three hundred more. Hey, maybe even more, I have no clue. Not sure what the big deal is about that watch anyhow. Even in TZ I've seen guys slam it because it's a copy of a copy of a copy of something else. How original!!! Tim
  7. You'll love it. Here's a reminder, again, for you! I've enjoyed mine very much. Tim
  8. Yeah, IF it can be done that would be great! Buy it in a second. But, more times than not, you can't. I bought one of those great looking and well made Ferrari GMT watches. However it has a A7750 in it. Tells time, that's it. Looks good, too! GMT hand totally functional? HAHAHAHAHA! What a joke. Replace it with a 2893-2? Been told it can't happen. Bummer. Sucks.
  9. Maybe so. Good looking watch, but, still it has that awful A7750 in it. Sort of like looking at a beautiful woman only to know she has a black heart and soul. All show, no go in the end. I suppose folks are going to take issue with that, but, facts are facts. Tim
  10. Congrats! Paul treated you and I well with our purchases. You rec'd this one while I got the jumbo Nautilus. Both beautiful watches and not a watch we can buy from our traditional on board dealers. Paul isn't a dealer, he just did us both a favor. Tim
  11. Well, all right then! No doubt I would never know. The other thing I noticed is that most of the ones I've seen have numbers on the sticker on the back of the watch, where this one doesn't. I'm going to take a winger on that and assume they did that back "in the old days." Hahaha! Anyhow, thanks for the education. Tim
  12. Maxi-Dial? Again, I know ZERO about Rolex watches. WTF is a Maxi-Dial? Tim
  13. Does anyone know if this clasp is available to purchase? As you can see one of the pushers is missing off the stainless steel bracelet. Thanks if you can help. Tim
  14. Exactly! The maker did a wonderful job in engineering the parts and assembling them, it's just too bad he had to work with that cheap junky movement. Imagine the excitement that could have been generated if the maker had put a solid Swiss 77XX movement in it. More money? Yep, but, at least you'd have a watch that you could wear for years and years. If they couldn't put a movement in it I'd just as soon they slapped a hot quartz into it. At least it would work. My 2-cents for whatever little that's worth. Tim
  15. No doubt that's a great looking watch. I purchased the GMT and it's just as great looking. However, the Asian 7750 inside the thing sucks big time. Hard to screw the stem back, when changing the time it seems very loose and it's not easy to get the hands where I want them. It's off to The Zigmeister to see if he can either fix it, or, trash the Asian 7750 for a hot Swiss movement. Had I known the GMT would not track I would have ordered the one without the GMT. I hope you have better luck with yours and I hope everyone else doesn't have problems with the ones they buy, or, have purchased. Personally, I would NEVER again buy an rep that had a A7750 in it. It's sort of like looking at this totally beautiful woman, but, you know inside she has a dark side. Tim
  16. Wears as well as the genuine I have. Not as smooth to the touch, but, that might be more from me wearing it over the past 15 years. Fair enough assumption, I suppose. It's dressy and masculine at the same time, more so than most Patek watches, except for the chronographs. Tim
  17. I'm not 100% sure what you mean here so I went to Patek's site and snagged these two photos. Were you refering to the distance between the markers at 12? They look the same to me, or, near about. Also, you can see how the sweep hand is a touch different. Tim
  18. Thanks for the comps. This is a great evening watch. Paul sent me a photo of the one you bought. Nice watch! I can't really improve upon the photos Paul took of the watch so I'll just post those. Tim
  19. Paul posted this for sale and I ended up purchasing it. I'd been hunting this exact watch for a very long time. I have a genuine of the smaller version of this watch and although I can't compare them one-on-one because of that, I can vouch for the quality. I only found one 'possible' fault and that was the design of the sweep hand. On a genuine it's a touch wider at the top, i.e., more arrow shaped. However, that was the only obvious difference. This is one of those taughted MBW's that comes out of Thailand. Believe me the workmanship is second to none. If you want one, and it ever pops up, again, don't hesitate to jump on it. You won't be disappointed. Tim
  20. Sure, why not? Most of them get a kick out of and want to know where they can buy one. I hook them up, too.
  21. Hmm, where would I find that, FleBay, or, ....? If that would make it look better I wouldn't mind doing it. I appreciate that info. Tim
  22. That Asian 7750 sucks big time. I don't care how great the watch looks, I'd never again buy any watch that had that &#^$%@*&$% movement in it. Total POS.
