  1. Check eBay for the Perlon straps. $10. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Watches-/14324/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=perlon+strap&_sop=15
  2. I have conducted some fairly extensive research on the TF and JF 15400's. In my estimation, the JF is off in three significant areas: 1. the case thickness being 1mm over gen 2. the date font being wholly incorrect. 3. the tapisserie cubes being too small. These three 'face' factors let me to select the TF 15400 over the JF 15400. My white dial TF should arrive next week.
  3. The Noob v5 is pretty darn close. The date font could be a bit sharper, however the photo is a least a 2.5x magnification to the physical. The N Factory will have a high bar to beat to take out Noob v5, I think. Thanks for the photo comparison Agentoso74. Very useful for Hulk geeks.
  4. Right, I know! I'm keen to learn more about this new (NEW Factory; N Factory) Hulk. If anyone has pictures or links to a TD that has this model, please share on this thread. Otherwise, I'm going to have to sell something in the portfolio to fund up a Noob v5 like Agentoso74's. Hmmm, maybe the Patek 5980?
  5. Agentoso74 inspired me to take the Rolex out for a day. I ordered a green Perlon strap for this one last night. eBay has them for $10 shipped from NYC. Also, if anyone is wondering, the bracelet is made of grey stingray.
  6. Agent, is your Hulk a Noob v5?
  7. The most recent Z Factory (ZF) IWC 5001 in rose gold recently acquired from distinguished member DVN with a new dark choco croc strap in 21/18 on order! This piece is amazing...incredible detail in physical.
  8. One of my favorite quotes which captures how I feel about this situation. "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction." -B. Pascal
  9. bOgus watch....that brings a smile to my face. "Hey, honey. I dropped $500 at bOgus watch today. Look at these beaut's!" Aside, poor Explorer II...she get's no respect selling at a slight discount to the Sub. Even bOgus discriminates.... LOL!
  10. Damn, that's a nice $190 beater. Is it real? LOL! Maybe the guy can consider a used Tissot or Shinola as well. eBay has some decent clearing prices if you are quick.
  11. Walking the dog in the rain and may need to know GMT at a moment's notice.
  12. Aside, the guy must work at Richemont, LVMH, Patek or AP if his 'work colleagues' are all committed WIS's and can spot replicas on sight. LOL!
  13. LOL to the above post. Honestly, I have never had a person say, "Is that $200 watch a genuine?" This fella is best served getting a gen swatch, Timex or Seiko off eBay.
  14. I've never seen anything like that before. I love the patina.
  15. Yes, that is what I just researched. My dealer will have a Blue TF in tomorrow for review. I wanted white as I thought that was the best dial. Do you have a Blue dial TF....is it very good to excellent? I have read that the AP Blue is the most difficult to replicate..thus some debate as to it being an ultimate tell. As an aside, I offered to 'take' a Patek 5711 Nautilus in Blue or White with the decorated bridges as a replacement. Thiose two are out of stock too. Bummer. I expect to receive a few photos of the TF version tomorrow. Thoughts on Blue over White from TF?
  16. Update: My dealer is fresh out of TF 15400's and offered me a V6F model for the same price. as a TF. What is the general opinion on this maker vs TF? Please let me know.
  17. PAM089, Titanium on light blue NATO.
  18. Now that is 1980's! Crown cuff links with matching two-tone blue Sub. I hope you are wearing black Gucci loafers with that suit to perfect the look Something like this:
  19. PAM 112 on Chocolate Assolutamente. One of my true favorites. A classic in every respect.
  20. I spent a bit more time analyzing photos from intime.co and Toro vs. eBay genuine models. In particular, the white dial version since that is what I want to acquire. JF (J Factory): the date wheel font is 100% off, the location of the screws on the clasp is incorrect, the tapisserie cubes are too small, case 1mm too thick. For $378 I think there are too many flaws. The most redeeming aspect is the movement engraving which is quite nice....if that is the most important thing to you. For $328 the TF (T Factory) is the better option. I would argue it is the best currently available. I am squarely in the Martijn and Legend camp on this model. As such, I ordered a fresh, new white dial TF version from Toro this week. I'll be sure to snap a few micro shots for this thread when it arrives.
