  1. New gen white gold bracelet? I would make a rough guess of $8,000 from Rolex.
  2. Looks photoshopped.. the first pic looks like the watch and cut and pasted into the background of the box. on the second to last pic, the PRO HUNTER looks like it was added to the pic and angled to make it look like its actually printed on the black card.
  3. yeah I agree with kbh, take the insert out.. lay some 400grit sandpaper on your work bench. use your fingers to scrub the insert back and forth on the sandpaper, turning it occasionally. it doesnt take long to remove the material on the back of the insert. Take off 1mm as you say, and your insert will be nicely sunken into the bezel and also the crystal will apprear higher.
  4. Very cool!!! I was getting really bored of my 16600 and I think its about time to do some work to mine too. The lug holes are definatly a BIG improvement to that SSD case!
  5. What if rolex deceides to start mass producing and selling Vintage replacement parts and selling them freely through all AD's?? What if Rolex starts to sell off ALL their stockpile of used parts removed from customer watches during service and not returned over the past 50+ years?? They probably have massed hundreds of millions of parts in huge warehouses around the globe. Now THAT would kill the vintage Rolex market if suddenly there was used fair condition 9315 folded bracelets avail at every AD for $150 and used brown faded 1665 and orig NOS tritium red sub dials for $275, tritium pearls for $25 and faded bezel inserts for $75.... Suddenly our prized vintages would be worthless compared to todays figures. I wonder what rolex does with all those old parts? Can you imagine how many complete watches you could build? Millions!!!! lol dizz
  6. Definatly white on that watch. You can also tell by the font. If you compare it to Ubi's pics, you will see the difference.
  7. I dont believe the aftermarket crystals will fit because the SSD is not built to gen specs in that regard. Try contacting BK in the dealer section to see what he recommends and if he has come up with a replacement yet. The only reason i would see to replace the crystal would be to get rid of that silly etched crown at 6 o'clock. dizz
  8. I have one of these that went through a full service and its been running strong for years. Any A7750 will be unreliable without a serviceing. After being properly lubricated they are said to be as reliable as a swiss ETA 7750 dizz
  9. Thats awesome!! All that just to squeeze the crown to see if it works! lol i love your stories my friend dizz
  10. I agree, pinch the end links and search for a gen clasp on ebay. That will make a big difference. Other than that, its looks awesome My first gen Rolex was a black dial 1603 with engine turned stainless bezel. I love these old plexy datejusts. dzz

    Sold

omg!! 10-15 years ago that was literally garbage, and just got tossed in the trash. I wonder how many items like this RSC around the world has locked up somewhere. Probably enough vintage parts to make millions of complete watches and KILL the prices of the vintage Rolex trade.... Someone working at Rolex who has access to this junk that they replace with new parts, could become a millionaire on ebay.
  12. This one will look better. Buy it!! lol
  13. So did you strip out the threads on the crown or the tube?? Or both?
  14. have you looked on ebay? You can buy any kind of strap and also Rolex stainless steel or gold buckles for fairly cheap

    ebay case

Its all smashed up are where the crystal mounts to the case and right next to the crown threads. And it looks as though it was soaked in acid ha ha ha Almost like the case was thrown in the bottom of an old tool box 20 years ago and banged around and forgotton about. It looks like a complete loss to me.

    ebay case

HA HA wow... WTF happened to this thing? Condition good???? Case: Stainless steel case Case No.: 1018 Size: 36mm wide excluding the crown Condition: Good click here
  17. i just saw some twinlocks on VRF last night.. not sure if they are sold or not. If i were you, I would get the big Brevet crown from yuki. That would look super nice!! Yuki big crown
  18. wow im jjust reading all this now!! What a loser!! Its too bad to see a senior member pull a scam like that. You just cant trust anyone anymore dizz
  19. lol Ubi that is one sa-weeeeeeet dial! oh my oh my, I would LOVE to have that.... I am wanting to start a great white project as soon as possible. i am so jelous right now dizz
  20. How much $ do you want to spend??? BK's original offering of the Noobmariner is an accurate and reasonably priced sub replica. BK also mods and distributes the WM9 submariners as well, but they are twice the price of the Noobmariner but very very accurate.
  21. Wow that looks really good... Im not a huge fan of these explorers, but its such an accurate platform for modding that i may have to build one just for fun!
  22. Its definatly worth the wait for the noob. trust me.. after you learn more about the watch and the other versions, you will be glad you waited.
  23. Which submariner? Vintage? 16610?? The noobmariner bracelet is a good and reasnoably priced bracelet for the 16610 submariner. If you have a vintage sub 1680 or 5513 then you can use a 93150 bracelet with non solid end links. You can get one from most of the dealers here or in the sales section. You are looking anywhere from $20-80 depending on quality for an average bracelet.
