  1. Of course! But I opt for the straight edge razor for this stuff. Looking forward to it, B. Thanks Mike. Did I see you posting that you were in the market for a strap? You know how to find me if so. One in my backyard. Scares the [censored] out of me to be quite honest. No gator in stock, but that might change soon. What are you looking for? Feel free to PM me or shoot me an email if you like.
  2. I wanted to share with you guys a few straps I made recently to fill customer orders (I'm a trusted dealer over on RWG1). The straps are 4-5mm thick and obviously are offered in a variety of leather and stitch color and styles. My straps run around the $70 range. Check me out at migliorestraps.com
  3. Looks more like a road than a driveway. The border looks good.. Looks labor intensive! I might have you beat. While doing yard work today, I almost got my ass kicked by this nice little widow. Flipping our yard chairs right side up after they were blown over by wind- this little girl had setup shop right smack in the middle of the seat. Killed a handful of baby widows as well.
  4. The screw-in pushers on the "plated" rep look a bit sunk in compared to the rep we're all familiar with posted by Chronoluvv. The rep posted by the OP is (no offense) probably just a very inferior, cheap rep. Really poor quality reps are known to be plated. The Breitling reps discussed around here are definitely solid SS and of a much higher quality.
  5. You've got a lot to be thankful for. Glad to see you're exercising your right to protect you and yours.
  6. Their are too many rep forums (imo). With the regularity of member complaints im not sure how RG keeps traffic.
  7. A little oven cleaner on a rag, wiping in circular motion. Check frequently, it works quick.
  8. Hope you got something more than a hangover my friend. Happy bday! I miss seeing a lot of the old timers too. BT, Lani, Frog.. Dems I still see here and there.
  9. Very good anticipatory pictorial of the unveiling!
  10. Last month I ordered something. Was six days from date of order to date of tracking info given, then another week for pkg to show up. Just thought i'd give my recent experience.
  11. My apologies Slask, I was thinking deepsea.. The submariner glidelock adjusts from the bottom. See if this picture helps- http://www.rolex.com/en#/rolex-watches/submariner/glidelock-clasp
  12. You actually lift up on the top part of the clasp. If you want info, google rolex glidelock bracelet. Here's a picture- http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_9laayTe3ygI/TNKXy79GiFI/AAAAAAAAA1c/6H8JTZ8wPmE/s1600/deepsea+breitling+058.JPG
  13. 111M today on a dark brown strap by me
  14. This is a long time, honorable member of the boards. Perhaps it is gen. Perhaps during the swap, some flame blued parts bin screws were swapped, who knows? It doesn't seem very smart (or profitable) to try to pass rep movements off to a forum full of rep specialists. The one single solitary pic you provided of the mvmt is so flash-soaked, it's hard to make any conclusion (for instance in the cdg). Under the balance, is there ETA markings? Are those screws even blue, or is that dark color due to the exposure? More than one nicely exposed picture of key areas of the movement would go a lot further to prove your case. Your making a very serious accusation that puts a members credibility on the line. My advice would be to provide more information (pictures) as soon as possible. Until then my honest opinion is you got a little ahead of yourself posting such harmful accusations.
  15. Nanuq, its possible your wife is trying to feed you to the wolves. And I thought I was tough, duking it out with a snake in my yard last week...
  16. Ubi, is it hard being that cool all the time? Must be tiring.
  17. I watched that zipper about 5 times before moving on with my life... ..Just one more.. time.
  18. Sort've similar here. My wife and I have a new house to take care of, she's 6mo pregnant, we're both back in school (i'm changing careers, shes working on her masters) and our horrible economy in the US isn't helping. So, no more VIP for me, either.
  19. This guy is still at it? Don't we know a few guys good for something like this?
  20. It's normal for some watches to wind when your screwing down the crown again. The Superocean in my sig does it, and it has a genuine nickle plated Swiss ETA 2836 installed. Not that it matters which movement; just be gentle/slow, it's fine.
