It is from an old pocket watch (remontoir). Because the staff is broken I would like to replace it. I found this on-line tutorial but I'm still not sure how to go about. Any tips or suggestions are very welcome! The movement: The broken staff:

I never claimed my watch is the same watch the twins are now offering. I posted a link of the exact watch I purchased from Josh. Wait a minute... it's a link to the wrong watch. After checking my order info and doing a search in the website I noticed my watch isn't listed anymore. Strange... The version I had had the best rep lume ever. Everything glowed nice and even and it burned up like a torch if you walked from outside into the house! Maybe it is lighter than SS but the difference would be so small I didn't notice it. It's some sort of grey steel alloy. It's a very very nice and accurate rep none the less It could very well be the latest release of the twins is in fact genuime titanium but I doubt it at that price which is simular to the one I bought.

Since the update RWG is slow as hell. I tried different computers and with all I'm experiencing numerous issues. From unsuspected behavior, slow page scrolling and logg-in to total Window crashes. It definitely takes the fun out of posting ....

Indeed you are right. read over that sorry. The SOSF does have a major flaw namely the square on the second hand isn't red. Hope you didn't already mention that too because then I'm in need of glasses

You have to take a look at the movement dial side. If there's a bridge you need to remove it and see how the power of the barrel is transferred. I think you can freeze either the small or large sweeping hand as one will be directly conected with the gear train and the other one is probably driven by transfer gears (which you can remove in order to freeze it). As for the other hands they are too probably driven by transfer gears. So these too can be frozen too. You just need to take a look or post a picture. Probblem is that an Asian 21j movement isn't really ment to be taken apart. If you do (and I did) it will be almost impossible to get everything back together....

It's probably the same sleeve/ pin construction as many Omegas use. Inside the bracelet (in the middle) there's a sleeve which holds the pin due to 2 pressure point. I specially made a tool for this sort of pain the ass bracelets. Take you smallest jeweler screwdriver en grind it until it fits into the hole of the bracelet. Than grind it just a little bit smaller so it also fit's into the sleeve in the middle of the barcelet. Yes, it will be a very very thin screwdriver/ pin, so be carefull and take your time. If you managed to make it just put it in the hole and give it some firm hits with a hammer. Be carefull to hit it straight or else the screwdriver will bend or break. Good luck!
