  1. If the watch in the ad were a Citizen, I'd find it being a bit off. In this case, no. It's good marketing, IMO.
  2. Wow. Have you thought about putting a slight bevel on the ID of the rehaut? But either way, wow.
  3. Very effective ad. I want one!!
  4. It's quickly getting there! That bezel is the cats meow.
  5. Turned out great. First rate build! Curious, what is a 2793?
  6. The sigma dials are around, and this one is on the high end of the price scale. But it's a nice one, so I can't fault that.
  7. I can almost always tell by weight. Not always, but almost always.
  8. Looks nice, R. Love that crystal profile in the case too. You might find it to be an attractive and comfortable piece to wear after giving it a chance! I honestly don't think it's too small.
  9. Is vacationing a human right? I'm genuinely curious as to what people think. http://www.nationalpost.com/most-popular/story.html?id=2923469
  10. Noticeable performance improvement. We're the fastest forum on the web by leaps and bounds now!!! Wow, I never knew Apache was such a dog.
  11. I love it. I actually stumbled upon one too and let it go, simply because my VCO constantly falls apart. Short of cold welding it all together, I don't think I can trust it on my wrist anymore. Great watch, and I wish mine was still usable. Can't wait to see yours with that dial.
  12. There was a minty vintage R153000 for sale not too long ago that really caught my eye. In the end, it's just too small for me personally, but I do remembering thinking "Here's one Rolex we'll never see in the rep world." Enter: jmb.
  13. Friends of mine who live in Barcelona are still talking about that!
  14. It's safe to say you'd need a gen case, dial, and movement to pull off a franken.
  15. V cool... By-Tor will like this once he finds this thread. I think his beloved Steelfish is off getting treated, or will be soon.
  16. Oooh 2892 + module. But unfortunately, that does as yodap says, preclude using the gen dial on the A7750.
  17. Yea, if it rotates then it must be integrated with the bezel.
  18. No, it's not. I'm not familiar with that watch though. Is the ring part of the bezel/case or part of the dial?
  19. The rehaut ring should come attached to the dial. They always do with genuine SA dials, anyhow.
  20. Well, I'd love to see someone give it a shot! With Breits, usually the dials fit. However the question is whether or not the rehaut ring depth is correct. If you can't get the pushers and crown stem to line up correctly through the case, then you'll have to transplant the rep rehaut ring on to the gen dial. And at that point it may not be a worthwhile mod..... On the bezel side, that's probably asking too much. The rep bezels are notoriously difficult/impossible to remove on most Breit models, and the gens really never seem to fit right. I tried my first and last gen bezel transplant on a V2 SA. The price was right on the gen bezel to give it a shot, but in the end it was a no go.
  21. T, PM me regarding NDT's case engravings. I recently had one from them. My recommendation would be to go with Phong. Don't be shy about offering 20 to 25% less than his asking price. He's wheeling and dealing right now. His markup is high enough that he can. And he certainly accepted my offer recently, albeit on a different case, without any hesitation..
  22. Good stuff, as usual, F. The lathe sure is an indispensable tool!
  23. Now it all makes sense.
  24. Ah ha!!
  25. I'm wondering if the forum was down for maintenance for a bit. Looking through the new posts list, there was a stretch of 13 hours with no posts... vlydog posted at 6:06PM and then the next post was not until 7:05AM by Mickey Padge:
