  1. Very nice indeed and a fascinating project. I just sent you an email requesting pricing information, then immediately afterwards found the price on your website. My Italian is nowhere near as good as it should be? https://www.rdbwatches.net/
  2. Hello and welcome to the community. Our trusted dealer list is here:- https://rwg.cc/forum/230-watches-clothing-parts-accessories/ and here is something you might enjoy reading:- https://rwg.cc/topic/188412-pictorial-review-new-2017-iwc-portugieser-3714-from-trustytime-andrew/?tab=comments#comment-1503109
  3. Ive heard of them alright. They are generally considered good for their price point. I think I have a Reef Tiger Diver’s Watch somewhere
  4. We had a spammer on this thread, I’ve just tidied up and remind all members not to purchase from unknown sources, especially to our new member @Uncmn_denom
  5. Hey @k4jun I’ve just seen that you are in Poland. Witamy na forum ?
  6. I have a fascination for Rolex reps that mix up features of two or more models, sometimes they are nothing like any Rolex ever built. I have a couple of real beauties. Currently I’m hunting for a 116610 chronograph. This evening I was cruising Google images and found a new one to me. A DayDate with merc hands and a Sub dial fitted. To my great surprise I discovered it is genuine and totally original. Just in case anyone thought I was delusional, I know 116610 Chronograph reps exist. I believe it has a Quartz movement and I want one. I know it’s a bit rubbish, that’s the appeal?
  7. So we are back up and running with the JMB V2? I would love to see the V1 back
  8. Exactly what I thought, but I don’t claim to know anything about the inner working of the rep industry, except that the “factory” names are largely an invention of us guys
  9. Didn’t Angus more or less say that, about changing names to take the heat off a bit with the Chinese authorities?
  10. Oh I think we might call it a fake case when dealing with eBay. It’s largely semantics, but that word does get their attention ???
  11. We couldn’t resist the temptation to give it an official launch at the Dutch GTG. We have far too few GTGs. Anyway now it has started it’s official travels, it is as we speak making it’s way to Stu who s the first Official Recipient as per your request. It will then be setting out from Scotland to Deutschland. The plan is it then bounces around Mainland Europe and the UK.
  12. I feel someone should ask how an aftermarket case comes to have a Rolex serial number.
  13. SH3135/Yuki is pretty much a clone and most genuine Rolex movement parts fit, SA3135 that Noob uses is only dimensionally the same, but takes genuine hands and dial. A3135 is a Chinese ETA clone decorated to look superficially like a Rolex movement. All very confusing and many threads have been posted on the subject.
  14. Personally I would never even consider paying for a Swiss ETA from a dealer. As has been discussed many times before, they are usually old movements, worn and dirty, repaired with a mix of second hand and Chinese parts. Save the money and consider buying a Swiss movement from a reputable supplier at a future point. The “Clone 3235” isn’t a clone at all. There is no clone of this movement at the moment. Most likely it is a Chinese 2836. I despise deco plates on movements and they seem even more silly on a watch with a closed back. That is my personal view and others my disagree? Edit, I just checked the dealer link above and the deco plate and Swiss movement options are the same price, but a bit of digging and a none deco plate 2836 option is available and should be $30 or so cheaper. That would be my choice until the ARF has better hands
  15. Domed sapphire would be consistent with the build concept, if something suitable could be found. Real gilt dial, better yet gold plated before printing like the TM dials. Actually I like this idea a lot.
  16. True but the OP was talking about making a fantasy model in the style of a Tempus Machina. As TM always use current models, it would be in keeping to use this model and maybe consider some case shaping to maybe slim the sides. I don’t see what could be done with the lug ends without ruining the SEL fit. It sounds like a fun project to me.
  17. I’ve been shot at, blown up, electrocuted, married and had kids. I don’t have a panic left in me. It was however mildly distasteful, not helped by the fact that I was just finishing a panna cotta when I read it
  18. I had to use an online dictionary to work out what the hell you were yakking on about................. .............I rather wish I hadn’t
  19. There really should be more of this sort of thing. What are prices like at the fair?
  20. Look at that beauty, totally a scene stealer. Is that deep fried cheese you are eating?
  21. Hello and welcome, thanks for coming back. Feel welcome to join the mayhem and maybe post a picture or two of your collection
  22. I’m trying to find Slay’s COMEX build at the moment, that baby has outstanding case work and a great dial This sales ad will give you a good idea what can be done
  23. A good COMEX you will have to build or have built. Like much in life, it depends on your budget, how OCD you are about small details and how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. Some of our guys have franken builds that are pushing ten grand, some have reps that cost less than a hundred quid, sometimes one guy has both. http://www.pf-818.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Comex If you can live with any of these, go for it. They are cheap enough and can be greatly improved if you are inclined. A genuine COMEX has a very distinctive square Centre to the O in COMEX. The dial can be exchanged for a better one from Vietnam at a cost of about $150-200, the case can be shaped and improved on, the crystal can be swapped out for something more convincing. All this can be done stage by stage or you can just accept it as it is, because who is going to believe any COMEX not in a safe is genuine anyway. If you want to check out the other end of the spectrum http://jewelryandwatch.com/ Even these can be improved, but you are talking $1200-1400 just for a case
  24. www.puretime03.com is safe yes. I’ve personally used them a number of times. The only silly questions are the ones not asked. Before you get carried away, do some research on the watch you are interested in. There are some reps that are all but indistinguishable from the genuine and others that are not so great. Maybe even let us know what you are interested in and will give you some pointers.
