Deployant, not deployment. Bamboo Skewers are your friend, so is lubrication. You don't want to spot your leather, so what do you think you should use? Perhaps some oil intended for the preservation of leather? Rubber? Are you sure you don't mean silicone? Any lube that doesn't eat rubber, and almost all are safe on silicone.
