Great to hear. The identifying marks on a rep are really hard to tell unless you really know the specific models and what to look for...especially if they have been modded. With the 1911, even harder because of the accuracy of the piece. Great stuff!!

Go TeeJay. The man with a vision!! That baking is a good idea. I think the black marker and red marker mod though wasn't the best. Did you scratch scuff the insert? I think the bleaching might be another choice to produce a more even effect. Fun stuff. You gotta experiment on a yellowed acrylic or something for the pearl!

That looks great!!! I agree with Andrew though...given the V2 already has the DLC coat...at least I thought that was what was written in the threads with Lani and I think Docblackrock??. Is it worth the extra cost to do this upgrade?? I can totally see it worth it on a watch that doesn't already have a PVD version or where one is not offered...that makes absolute sense. It's just that the BS was already dialed in on that front.

I'm really starting to notice that when taking pictures. Any pics of watches sans AR are much more hazy and washed out. Looks great.

So are you saying that the cross-processing turns the 120 transparency into a non-transparent image akin to a "print"???? The film I have is 35mm. Beautiful images...and great effect.

Ditto what the others have said...as well: UPO: Crooked logo. Fixable...pop off the dial, re-centre and glue Tag Link A7750 Chrono second hand wont reset back to 12` marker. Broken bracelet pins. Fixable with movement servicing...common problem. Broken pins are unfortunately another common cheap Chinese rep QC problem. Posting a request for spare pins might find a member who can help you out. TAG Carrera A7750 O-ring sticking out from the case. Common. You might have to get a replacement gasket from a watchmaker as the one in there if it's sticking out is probably stretched too much. This is cheap. Either the gasket wasn't seated properly when the back was screwed on, or was the wrong size. Ebel 1911 A7750 Cant screw in crown. Date wont change. Chrono hand wont reset back to original position. Not sure if the crown is supposed to be screw down or push in...By-Tor would know. The date change happense sometimes because there sometimes isn't a washer to hold the datewheel down and the gap between the dial and movement can be too much causing the wheel to slip. Cheap fix by any watchmaker. Chrono pushers not resetting to 12-o-clock is very common and fixable with movement servicing. PAM 104 Crown head fell off. If the crown fell off, it might be able to be screwed back on and loctite applied. If the stem snapped off, that might involve more work. Hope this helps.

I don't plan on getting this one AR'd...so I don't think I'll be sending it to you...it would break Nanuq's heart to have AR on it.
