  1. That Crazy Hours looks great with the blue dial. I bought the GF a silver dial one a while ago and she loves it. I think she wears the EXP1 that I got her the most though.
  2. All your stuff's worth reading By-Tor but come on you know you just want to show off your new gen grail
  3. Great choices all of them. I agree nothing beats rubber straps for the summer. Two Skylands huh? I wonder how many members are purchasing more than one Skyland or Super Avenger? Seems to be more than a few.
  4. Nice! This is wait I've been waiting for. If they managed to get the quality of the strap on par with the level of quality of the UPO strap then I'm getting this.
  5. Nice looking 250 lani. Enjoy!
  6. I think all the A7750's have the potential for problems but to be honest about half of my 50+ rep collection are chronos using the A7750 and I've had very few problems. Don't be scared off from them because of the potential for problems just use a little care with them. If you're looking at the SMP Chrono I say go for it. I have one that I bought used and that definately had some wrist time and I've never had a problem with it. It's a great looking watch on the wrist and is actually one of my favorites.
  7. Thanks for the input guys! Knew a couple of experts would chime in.
  8. Great pics Ubi! Not bad for just out of the gate with a DSLR.
  9. Sweet! Thanks chief! It's funny I've been searching and trying to dig up an old case 196 for a couple months and wouldn't you know it looks like the one I've had one sitting here all along. Back when I got this in the fall there were actually two different sellers I was talking to. One had just bought it a month earlier from a dealer and the other had bought his used from another member and thought it was about a year old. I thought I had bought the newer one but turns out I passed on it because the seller wanted close to new price and went with this one instead. Think I got this for like $200. Now bigger question will the 7753 work in this? and will the date pusher work? Date pusher works but the mvt spacer blocks it.
  10. I know exactly how you feel. First rep was last fall and first PAM was around Christmas and now I have 20+ and at least half are modded and there's enough parts to build a couple more but lately I've decided I'm going to scale it back to 3 or 4 really nice ones and just be happy with that.
  11. Need some help from you 196 experts (we all know who you are). Not really sure what I have here. Is this the old case 196? I bought it last fall second hand from a member over at RG and he may have even bought it from someone else. I have a 7753 donor watch sitting here, the newer 196 and 188 dials, Lello DW, and gen auto crown. Just not sure if this is what I need or not.
  12. Wow! I know there are a couple little things (the lume markers probably are the biggest thing) but man that is awefully close at least to my eyes.
  13. That's fantastic news! Glad that it looks worse than it is and there will be no permanent damage. Hopefully with each passing day it will be a little less tender.
  14. I've got a couple friends with nice gen collections and judging from thier houses or cars you would never guess that they each have several fairly high end watches. One has a nice but modest home and maybe a 30-35K car but has an almost 20K Daytona. Went with him to the AD when he picked it up so I know it's gen.
  15. Hey Dani glad that they turned up. Bet you are relieved.
  16. At least you say it's not as painful as it was. That's some progess at least. Just take it easy and hopefully the swelling will start to subside soon.
  17. I spend a good bit of time at all three of the forums but you have to admit the amount of knowledge and members willing to lend a hand or share their experience with stuff is second to none. Some of the vintage and franken stuff that's built and owned by members here is just mind blowing.
  18. Being that the Speedy Moonwatch is an absolute classic my vote would be to keep it. Certain watches like that will never go out of style. The reps come and go.
  19. I looked through his posts too. If they continue to add nothing to this community then hopefully maybe we won't see him in week. This was certainly not a thread that members with only a few months under their belt needed to get involved with. Glad things worked themselves out.
  20. Oh I forgot about the Neil Pert (I mean really are there any better drummers than him) avatar disappearing. I've have to rethink my opinion now
  21. No worries Greg. I've always thought of you as one of the good guys over there. Takes a lot to put that all out there.
  22. Hey Mickey you sure?? I thought the AR on the Tag Links was relatively new. Pretty sure I've handled some gen Links with no AR in the past.
  23. Yes he does doesn't he?
  24. You could always skip the bracelet and pickup a gen Pro Diver strap to put it on. I think the Skyland looks great on rubber and gives it a rugged sporty look.
