Is it just my eyes? I always see the 30 min. subdial is smaller than the seconds subdial on the gen. But on the rep they look the same.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Really wonder if the 1575 can fit into the 6542 case. Does it share the same dimension to that of the 1030? This will be the easier way to go considering getting a 1036/1066 GMT is virtually impossible.
BTW, freddy, your 6542 dial is not gen.? It looks so close to the real though, you get it from Silix?
Wow, thanks freddy.
It's amazing.
May I say the mod will be easier from a 1030 date to 1036 GMT? What will the conversion parts needed if going in this route?
Cheers
Hi freddy,
Thanks but the first link doesn't work.
BTW, can you give us a tutorial on how to convert a 1030 to 1036 GMT, what are the additonal parts needed?
Cheers.
Wow, that's a lot of work and requires lots of skills for the mods. Getting the right parts is another issue.
Shall an ETA GMT or Rolex 1575 movement will alos do the job for the 6542?
Cheers.
I don't have much expection on this vesrion. They will never get it right.
Still for the best AP option, the ROO sec@12 is the best choice on the current market. Just my 2 cents.
Go DIY.
It is a good start to learn and experiment the mod basics. It si no rocket science for installing the tube and crown. This has been well documented here. Search for it and there are tons of info around.
Enjoy.
Forget about modding the AP ROO, you will get nowhere.
Just live with the flaws, they are so minor, and as rogerthat said if someone can tell by looking at the hands he will know it is a rep anyway.
6mm is very long.
How come your movement needs such a long clamp. This is an indication on your movement is not matching the case machined or vice versa.
A gen. 93250 bracelet is not easy to get. Only very occassionally it will come up in the bay, but then the final winning price has always been very high.
Wonder if you are ready to pay for a bracelet that will cost at least twice the value of your BL Sub.
SS matching is no issue here since the whole bracelet is brushed, rather I will be cautious if the SEL can mate well with the curve on the BK watch head as well as the positions of holes for the springbars are machined to the gen. spec.
1655 needs a true 1570 GMT movement to work.
Conversion is not easy as finding the 24 hour wheel and parts is extremely difficult.
The best bet is go for a genuine 1575 movement with the GMT function installed.
Good luck.
Very nice. Wish I can have the funds to build one. Super watch. A franken needs lot of patience, time and investment.
So, at last you got the centre hand fixed.
Congrat.
Bear in mind you still have to mod the inner part of the case to get the gen. Rolex movement properly fit.
I have experience with a few of their cases already with the same needs of mooding.
Good luck.
Go for the BB. It seems that Hublot is nowadys just making living on this model with all sorts of versions and material combinations. If you walk into the Hublot boutique, BB is almost the only model you will see in the whole shop.
