Star69
$98 well spend - needs a new crown, CG shave and plexi. has nice dial, gen like construction, nice bracelet - good deal will hopefully install on the weekend a new crown an do the case-work 1st preview pic cheers, Frank
Ronin
If you are up for it, can you pop the bezel and see if it is "really" gen like construction in terms of crystal, retaining ring, tension ring bezel. @$98 if I were a betting man, it is a Silix/Alpha/MQJ style glued crystal with tension wire bezel. (I hope I am wrong!)

Ronin
So much for MBW as the only game in town. How are the lug holes in relation to the end of the case? Often they are too close to outer end of the lug for effective drilling.

tomyeshuah
Also, how is the dial lume color compared to the hands? do both shine the same brightness?
Star69
Also, how is the dial lume color compared to the hands? do both shine the same brightness? i did not even test the lume - as its a vintage piece - again the 5512 has the right colour on dial and hands - tritium look - the $ 98 SD (i got both at the same time)has slightly greenish lume witch needs to be fixed. cheers, Frank

pizzanooo
For a hundred bucks,a nice piece. Mods aside, I would wear this one out and raise my tankard with it. It`s what reps are meant to be, low cost alternatives.

coolfire
Does it actually take a gen crystal? Thats the million dollar question. I'd like to know as well... it'll be great if a gen xtal could fit right in. Btw, star69, possible to post some side profile shots, please? marcl
okay no believer : vs his SD - non gen like construction cheers, Frank Hi frank, That looks pretty damn fine, Have you any opinions on Josh's 1680? It has the same construction and looks very nice but I was wondering if them crown guards looked a bit small. Love to hear your opinion if you have one. Kindest regards. Marc. chrgod
Nice piece! There are quite a few good options on the vintage Rollie scene these days! What happened with the 1675 you had for sale, it is sold?
Star69
a gen plexi should fit - i tried a spare aftermarked one - it fits - so no reason the gen should not fit. not sure about the CGs will shave them on the weekend the lugs are nice - position is perfect maybe a little too small for gen springbars. in contrast on the SD the lugs sit too low on the case. cheers, Frank
jmb
I had vowed I would never buy an "assembled" rep again - I just ordered one. I will try to transform it into a Tudor when I get it...

Star69
Josh's site say 198$ not $98... the asia asia version is 98 .. asia eta is 198 ... not really an option here $100 for an asia eta clone is too much ...
LeSentier
Correct, but wasn't the 5512 a low beat movement? Or do I mix smth up?
Ronin
Correct, but wasn't the 5512 a low beat movement? Or do I mix smth up? You are correct. 19.8 to be exact. 21.6 21Js/or 2846's get you close.
