danielv2000 Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 Need help here guys! What part do I need for this? What's the best source? Thanks
freddy333 Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 There are a number of threads detailing construction. Yuki sells the valve parts (click the pic for the link)
woof* Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I have emailed Yuki for several months now and so far he's never had them in stock. The gen ones that come up on ebay and VRF that I have seen so far have been too much $ for me.
denimhead Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I also got mine from Phong as Yuki no longer produce's them.
automatico Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) "I have emailed Yuki for several months now and so far he's never had them in stock. The spring can be made from a pocket watch mainspring etc and the O ring is easy to find. I just looked at the Yuki site... $100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hellofuzzy. Edited March 16, 2012 by automatico
modelizer Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 $100 is indeed a bit steep for tiny after market pieces like that. And Phong's price is even higher I assume? @jmb: pretty please, with sugar on top? (I'm definitely in if you ever decide to have a go at it..)
freddy333 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Some low-end Comex Sub reps have them (that is what my original He valve mod was based on) Today, only the mid-case is original to that El-Cheapo rep I believe that original Comex rep is still available. Search the dealer listings.
jmb Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I could probably do it a bit cheaper than that. I will need measurements, though...
danielv2000 Posted March 16, 2012 Author Report Posted March 16, 2012 I could probably do it a bit cheaper than that. I will need measurements, though... I'm in! Can someone provide info to J
Ephry73 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I believe Trevor's 5514/1665(same case BTW) has the "operational" HEV. E
modelizer Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 I could probably do it a bit cheaper than that. I will need measurements, though... jmb to the rescue! Sounds good.. Let me see what I can come up with.. 1
highoeyazmuhudee Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 i know its not the same, but if it proves too difficult you could always fake it
Jkay Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 The measurements for this piece are *on* Yuki's HeV page. Just click Freddy's photo.

jmb Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Yeah, probably the ones not listed can be guessed close enough...
modelizer Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Yeah, probably the ones not listed can be guessed close enough... Sounds promising enough to me!
