theflyingdutchman Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 What a masterpiece! But there will never be a rep!
josecolon47 Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 never say never, imagine our sons or grandsons buying the urwerck ur-100 noob v3, from toros jr.
Legend Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 I love urwerk watches, the unconventional layout of the dials, the mechanical details, the courage to be different. Its a love 'em or hate 'em thing.
Mike on a bike Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 "Its a love 'em or hate 'em thing. " you have that right for sure.
StormTooper4 Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 These things are awesome , its great to see the watch reinvented with an unusual approach. Sadly way to complex to be repped
folex Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 never say never, imagine our sons or grandsons buying the urwerck ur-100 noob v3, from toros jr. +1 hahahahaha
Watchmeister Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Stunning watch and probably the only one I would save up my money for years to buy. One of the few innovative technologies with their "turbine" to come along in years. IMHO, Seiko and their Spring Drive is another one but I can't get myself to buy one. Who needs another qua-triple gyro tourbillon made out of carbon fiber with "get-ladium" parts. The Urwerk are new school horological technology. And the answer to the question on replication is no. It may be replicable but unlike so many other watches virtually every part would have to be re-engineered (read as "copied") from scratch.
maxman Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 What a masterpiece! But there will never be a rep! I will have to say mechanically It Is Indeed a mastepiece. But aesthetically It's a [censored] mess.
kingkaiser Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Say what you will about urwerk, but you definitely can't call them 'derivative'. Unlike our friends at Hublot, they actually tried a striking different design, with the mechanism to match. If I had crazy coin, I would buy this - wouldn't be my only watch though... Poker Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 I like it. But I seriously doubt there will ever be a replica of it. Way too different.
panerai153 Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 I'm sure the Chinese could replicate this watch, the big question would be? WHY
Sherif Hosny Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Why on earth would anyone want to rip such a monstrosity???? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
peterpotamus Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 maybe a mechanic masterpiece but aesthetically??? I wouldn't wear that thing.
davylloyd Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Without commenting on the aesthetics of the watch, we all know that the Chinese will only rep something that will sell in volume, so whether they could or not is irrelevant because there's no motivation to try.
maxman Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I could hang with this piece. Would make a nice beater. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cDJLkBMdkc&feature=related
