PP closed our again again......and I am personally banned from PP for life!

Today, Paypal closed down three of my accounts; 1 that is used for RWG, one that I use for my regular business and my personal account. I was trying to open a new account in conjuction with a new business I am opening and this was also closed. A guy from PP called me and basically told me that all accounts I open in the future, will be closed. So this is just an FYI that you will see your subscription payments fail and your upgraded  memberships will expire. I will have to look into if there is any other optiins for us to use, but after the last round, where we got denied pretty much from all payment-solutions, I am not optimistic about this :(

This is concerning news...

I agree that Amazon Payments are an excellent alternative and viable for our use.

Skrill (aka. Moneybookers) are almost a PayPal clone and could also be useful: https://www.moneybookers.com/app/

Google Checkout are also supposed to be very good.

Here's some blurb about their service (taken from techtoucan.com);

Google’s own Checkout service offers you a simple way to accept payments online for virtually any kind of product including digital goods, physical products or online services.

In many ways Google Checkout is one of the best Paypal alternatives thanks to it’s ease of setup and similar range of features to Paypal which includes not just simple credit card processing but also the ability to email out invoices/money requests if you’re dealing with clients.

Payouts to your bank account are some of the fastest in the industry; roughly two days on average; and these transfers to your bank account are carried out automatically by Google in stark contrast to Paypal where one needs to not only request the transfer of money to your bank account but also wait a considerable time for this to be processed.

Another one is Clickbank;

Clickbank has a long-established pedigree in the “digital sales” market and are ideal for selling ebooks, software, membership site subscriptions and any other downloadable product you can imagine. They offer repeat billing (for subscription products) and a very simple application and set-up process.

Clickbank has also come a long way in the last few years in terms of features to help you grow your business. Not only can you add your own logo and product-photo to your order form and to create upsell pages to increase your revenue.

Clickbank also provides the facility to charge your customers a small initial fee (such as a dollar) and then the balance of the price at a later date (such as a month later). This may sound like an insignificant feature but in testing we’ve found it can significantly increase your overall sales volume thanks to the low risk that new customers take when buying from you.

These additional features mean that for digital goods not only is Clickbank a valid alternative; in many ways it’s actually even better because of the opportunities to easily increase your bottom line.

Payouts from Clickbank vary depending on your sales volume. Most accounts start out receiving their earnings every two weeks though it’s normally simple enough to change this to weekly payouts.

I'm sure there are enough alternatives to keep us going. Hopefully we can find something.   :pray:

Well, as you all know, PP has closed down multiple accounts in conjunction with RWG and I have always asked them why, but never gotten a reason. Today, I got to talk to a human being (And fellow norwgian) and nby the notes he had access to it was due to pornographic content, so it literally looks like the little x-rated corner we have/had here, is the reason for all of this. And since I continued to open new accounts and they shut them down, I guess this is the reason. What really bugs me about PP is their 0-strike policy. They just closed down the account. You never get a warning and a chance to remove the content. They just closed the account and they don't even need to show you proof. All I have ever gotten is that "we have closed your account due to it being a high risk account" bla., bla., bla....never once have they told me; this is the problem, fix it and you can keep your account.

And they have not just closed 3 accounts today, they have closed ALL of my accounts, including 2 other business accounts I had for perfectly legal businesses.

I will see what we can do, but I guess one of the big problems with the forum is the sale/rep dealers who are here and I think as long as they are here, it will be extremely hard for us to get an account anywhere.

I would think that as long as the RWG site did not process sales/transactions/payments for the TDs there shouldn't be a real issue...  I think I'll put up a watch for sale just to test my Amazon Payments account...

“What countries and currencies are supported by Amazon Payments?

Amazon Payments allows U.S. as well as international customers to use major credit cards to make payments on Amazon Payments-powered websites. However, bank account and Amazon Payments account balance transfers are enabled only for US based customers. All transactions are in U.S. dollars.”

It's unbelievable that they took issue over the nudies. Ah well, live and learn.

Clickbank might be a suitable alternative if Amazon is a non-starter.

Their ability to have a subscription service would tie in quite nicely with us.

I just tried invoicing a recent sale via Amazon Payments and it failed due to the recipient not being signed up with Amazon Payments.

That aside, I am ready to find a good, simple alternative to PP as I think they have developed a "God Complex" and think they can do as they please and we will grease up and take it...
