Finally! My First Build The 1680.

Happy to share photo of the 1680 installed.

 

The yuki dial is wrong. The triangle on 12 is too short.

I can't find a good red dial.

If anyone knows where to find a good dial, please let me know. 

 

-Case from PT reshape cg and lug hole by me

-Refinish brushed lugs by me
-Yuki dial
-Athaya crown and tube
-Gen vintage insert removed pearl and fade by me
-After market bezel and end link
-Clark Plexi
-fat spring bar spec
-PT bracelet + TC clasp
-silver date open 6-9

For Rolli I want also to make 1665 Double red, maybe.

I love the build.  Good choice in parts for budget, but still retaining the vintage feel. 

The thing I don't understand about all these Franken Red 1680 builds is.... why the silver date wheel?
Gen Red 1680's were born with white date wheels. 

The silver date wheels came later on the white dials.

Swiss ETA 2846 and 2834 are selectable according to the desciption.
Which movement did you select?
Are both movements fittable to Yuki parts including hands, case, Dial and so on?

My watch used eta 2846 and I don't select form intime.

Yuki support many parts to fit an ETA movement

Hrmm. Didn't know Ryan sold PT 1680s. The 1680s he had were the ones with the lug holes too close to the edge. PT 1680s were prob the best ones. They actually had the right dial. The chunky crown guards you can work with and would take gen spec (26.5mm) dials.

If yours takes a gen spec dial, get a whoopy dial. It's about as close to gen as you're gonna get without breaking the bank.

The dial on your watch isn't bad though. A puffy relume would finish it off nicely.
