offshore
Isn't that a bit nasty? I'm with jtb on this one- actually I think he was being a very moderate.. Moderator! If some of you knew the amount of work that has gone in to resurrecting a dead forum, arranging to recompense all those who were left out in the cold over the watch debacle.. to then see that "someone" was planning to restart something we have all worked very hard to put behind us............... No It was very, very moderate. I am forbidden by our rules to say what I really think! I'm also sure that excuses will finally surface, but unfortunately as one of the originals at RWG, who put in a fair bit, I was just devastated to see all that work torn apart, And it will never be the same. merely a facsimile of its former self. Personally I now hope it dies a quick death, not withstanding the loss of some great and classic history. Offshore Edit to add-> ayra1- It would be pleasing if someone told us the entire story. Just rumours, innuendo, and summation.

KB
first of all, some of us know the entire story, and were present when you fools gave your money away (wasn't to blade in the first place). Others, after seeing you originally throw your cash away to paul for months, warned you what could and might happen. I will not own responsibility or defend anyone's actions but my own, but you can play the victim long enough to where you actually believe it's true, but in the end, there are others who actually saw what happened. In closing, 200 bucks would be a small price to pay for the hours of enjoyment that has been brought to us free of charge IMO. In los angeles at least, 200 dollars will get you a cup of coffee and a bucket of gas. How soon we forget. Well rya it's nice that you have such a simplistic view of what it's all about, but you know I rather like to believe that us being here was more a case of survival than group hugging over two hundred bucks........anyway I better not detain you any longer as I see you are pissing your pants to get back home Ken

Pugwash
Yeah,... it seem to me that people in this hobby tend to be very forgiving despite the magnitude of damage caused. A little too forgiving, in my view, and a little too selectively.
Indyclmbr
Liked the old RWG but I like the new RWG better. I'm stickin' here! Too much work and effort, not just for a few hundred dollars for several members, but for a sense of community that was wholly lost on RWG in the end. Climb on. Pugwash
No it's honesty. Months and months of no communication from him and the duping of a large number of members out of $200 without a by your leave and then waltzing back in to take up again where he "thought" he left off does generate a feeling of disgust. Not to forget that Blade, and Blade alone, can be held responsable for the Password Sniffer on RWG1 that cost our respected friend Edge about a grand in real money. Fsck blade and fsck the horse he rode in on.

As it happens I didn't order the RWG watch - didn't like the look of it. Many respected "fools" as you put it, did however, and my support was/is given to them. It's enlightening that you "know the entire story" as I think "story" might be the operative word. Anyways........I'm past the point of caring now and for the record it took months and months to forget with nothing but silence from blade. His absence forced the issue. He was a non-person. We, in this place, cleaned up the mess. We made right by people, so I suppose some are "fools" twice over? I've donated $15 RWG to you. You now have $200 RWG. Difficult as it so obviously appears I suggest you try and have some fun when you visit here. Head off to the casino and blow your lot in a game of craps. Go on you know you want to. He takes life way too seriously and is a bit of an [censored], enjoying stirring the pot more than talking watches. I thought it was hilarious that Rya came back to RWG1 only after the collapse. I truly hope he grows up or disappears again. This type of post isn't really in line with the direction of this board. Remember, we raised money for those who lost theirs' in Blade's scam. Guest TTK
Unfortunately most members can't see the wood for the trees.......it's not a case of existing members reverting to the old RWG.......it's the unfortunate newbies who will inevitably find RWG 1......Blade's forum was very successful in promoting itself.....easy to find with a Web search.......the same will apply this time around.....giving him plenty of new fodder for any new scam that he might wish to carry out or approbate. Additionally ....if any members here seek to re-register or simply log on....and act as a whistle blower....to alert any newbies ..he'll simply revert to form.....and delete all controversial posts.....and ban the member(s) who post them.......power corrupts.....absolute power corrupts absolutely.......! ryyannon
Well guys, the 'whole story' can be read as posted by Blade himself on RWG1, and personally, I think it makes sense. There's a lot of information on what really happened, as well as Blade's pledge to make good on the RWG watch deal - right down refunding the people here who contributed to the fund. As for those who are still mystified about Blade's miraculous reappearance several weeks ago on RWG1, here's what he says: "Whoever was on the board around two weeks ago was not me, nor was that the post from Matrix which was made around two weeks ago. I actually found out who was posting, but that will be kept secret." I'm not trying to find excuses for Blade - particularly since I'm not convinced that he needs any - he did what he could, at the same time that his own world was crashing down on him. Even Ken has posted a conciliatory message; at this point it's up to each member to do as his tastes, conscience, ethics, etc. dictates. As for myself, I'm confortable here, but I can still relate to what Blade has said concerning the past, present and future. No conflict of interest. To close, I sincerely hope that we won't create schisms and lines of fracture based on who is 'for' or 'against' Blade and the resurrected RWG. Life is too short, enjoy it while you can. fredmc
Fancy posting it here so I don't have to register over there? As per your request here it is! to old RWG members, I know that most of you want to know where I was and what in the world happened over the past 5 months, so I'll cut right to the chase. In my country we have a mandatory military service, that I have been illegally avoiding for two years since I finished school. I had a very good reason for this. I was planning on going home for New Years, apparently not thinking straight, not realizing that this could get me into trouble. Yes, this is a serious offence back home, and it involves jail time, and many other things. The moment I came into the country my problems began, everything that happened after that is now history. As this is a public board, I will not get into many details, but please believe me that I could not come to the forum. I had so many other things in my life that were postponed (and ruined) because of this, that RWG was naturally not, and could not be the first thing on my mind. Please understand this. At the time I arranged with Matrix to come and take care of the board, at least a few times. He is now a basketball scout, and he travels around the world a lot. I didn't even know until now that he didn't show up to explain the situation, I thought that an explanation was provided explaining that I would be gone for quite some time . Just last week, when I came back, I found out everything. I was completely clueless on what was going on, including RWG and RWG watch. All things came together at the same time, along with a big case of miscommunication, to make one big mess. Also, as most of you know, I promised everyone a safe haven, which was called offersland.com I spent $3,500 for offersland.com since it was promised, for development and hosting. When the site was finally done, by the end of December (two months late) i was going to open it, but never managed to do so. It was running on my credit card that had $1000 credit limit, and the cost was $200 per month. After five months the website went down because I had no more money on the credit card, and I never had a chance to even put a link to it on RWG to make it work. I still have plans to bring it back, and right now I am trying to get in touch with it's developers to implement it into a new host. RWG Watch: First, I want to thank everyone who backed me up on this and who believed that I was not trying to scam anyone. Like most of you know, even though I took the RWG watch project on myself, I was not the one behind it. I was merely a middle man and I had a friend who was taking care of it for me. I know that this is not an excuse, but how can I stress enough that there was nothing I could do to make it different, except maybe getting on the plane and going to china myself, which I was not able to do anyway, from january on. Yes, I am guilty of taking a project on myself and not delivering in time. The problem is that I contracted someone else to do the job, and you were my clients. The person I "contracted" did not deliver in time. My friend who was taking care of the project totally bailed on me, and never delivered. She left china without sending out all the watches and never came back. We got into a huge fight over that, and some other things the end result being we are not friends any more, I don't want to see her ever again. Literally! So what ended up is 40 watches sitting in storage for almost six months. The money was gone the moment I sent the money to make the watches, which was in September if I remember right, so don’t think that I ever saw a dime of your money. The difference now is that I took the whole thing on my self, and starting tomorrow (just waiting for the final list to be delivered to me) all people who did not accept a refund will get the watches in around 10 days. We are trying to figure out right now what to do with the rest. My goal is to eventually sell off all RWG watches (to new members, if old ones are not interested any more) and pay off everyone who donated to the cause, and I really appreciate what you did. This including the "mysterious" member who donated $2,000, for whom I have the utmost respect. As most of you think that I let you down, at the same time I was let down by other people involved in the RWG watch project. I seriously regret the day I took over the RWG project, believing I could make it better. For me, now is the time to look into future, and try to forget the past. Making RWG2 was a good decision, even though RWG should have been manageable, even without the admin. If only Matrix had come...just once. But you guys did the right thing, you saved the community. We will not recruit any members from RWG2, we will respect everyone's right to choose one board, two boards or all of them. We will not compete or show any ill will towards our old friends, I want to retain my duty to reopen my site and reimplement my site's mission. Whoever was on the board around two weeks ago was not me, nor was that the post from Matrix which was made around two weeks ago. I actually found out who was posting, but that will be kept secret. Everyone is more than welcome to be a part of RWG again. I have already put over 60 hours into the forum since I came back. I want to extend a very big thank you to all the Mods that worked hard to keep the board alive while I was gone, also a very big thank you to all the members who showed RWG such loyalty, I am grateful. To prevent the same thing possibly happening in the future, I have several things in my mind. First of all, I gave my login info to two of my friends who work with computers and are always on the Internet, so in case something happens to me, there will be someone to take care of the board. I will give much more power to mods, And most important of all, will move RWG to a more reliable host. As of yet I am not sure why are there only registrations and posts up to Jan 12. It looks like the whole database was modified, and my current host was not able to supply me with backup. Another reason to move. So in closing please accept my apology for things that were beyond my control and also for things I could have done better. Blade.
Richard Tracy
Though I have nothing against Blade personally, and won't get into the whole rwg watch fiasco.. as I could smell that rat from a mile away and took a detour... No....I just don't feel he's got the proper mindset to run a board. For one,.. His vision or lack thereof, allowed too many Un-Educated Idiots, and just plain Assholes, not just to survive, but to thrive there...they felt like they owned the off topic forum and slowly spread out to infect the whole board.. Any bigot could post a thread calling for or justifying the murder, deporting, slandering mis-representation of billions of innocent people and he would simply sit there and smile.... but post a thread in anyway upsetting the status quo, or God forbid repeat a question that was answered previously, and his posse, would ride down on you with horses and bed sheets flapping in the wind... Second,... Blade never anwered a pm from me unless it was regarding, or smelling of money. Now after his Mission of mercy to the replica watch community.. Preaching the separation of sales from info.. he's been planning a sales site ?.. Notice how he threw that little tid-bit in there both here and there ? Notice how he's even going to link rwg1 to it ? Is His New mission is Replica sales ?.. and though I have nothing against that.. how can a forum be unbiased when it's also a store ? jonthebhoy
What I'm finding the greatest difficulty with is the fact that he constantly threatened to "pull" RWG as it was causing him "too much hassle" and he "didn't need it". He persistently complained that it presented more problems than it was worth and that he was "very much at risk" by continuing to run it. Furthermore all this was before his apparent "draft" difficulties. What has changed? I donated to the RWG watch compensation fund on a matter of justice and principle, so if he wants to repay me perhaps he can donate the money to the new RWG instead. My loyalty lies with this board and it's Admin. JTB

r11co
I for one feel that the world has moved on. Returning to RWGuide is just gonna cause more confusion and cross posting. The RWG 'brand' has been taken over by stronger more stable managers and lives here now. Replica-Watch-Guide is associated with trouble, and you know the saying about giving a dog a bad name. If the trouble makers want to return to their playground then that is their choice, but I won't be spending any time in their company. "I left him (Matrix) in charge... he was supposed to do this, he was supposed to do that... but, he didn't do it." I have news for glade.... I held a private secret raffle and he won; his prize is he gets to KISS MY ASS.
