Rolex Submariner 16610: new project

Stephane

Recommended Posts

Sorry to sound like wanting to test you guys.

I'm not ...I'm just exited of getting a new 16610.

Frank: you'll see it soon  (and me too)

It is a WM9 indeed, and so far it carries a gen dial, gen crown, gen crown/tube, that's it for the moment.

I'm following my friend W.Genzo here (thanks for showing a new route) and of course, like my previous 16610, it is a Tribal project :thumbsupsmileyanim:

A gen crystal shall follow for sure...

@Sql: with such a collection, you really need a "Sub" Rolie for sure

@Alligoat: well, when Tribal says WM9 is great, I think we can trust him ;)

He must be the member here that owned and modified more Subs than the entire membership could do all toghether :Jumpy:

That's a real beauty Stephane.

Guess i have to dig into the WM9 stuff from now onwards.

But first i have to get my MBK 1680 delivered so i can get it modded.

Carpe Diem

Thanks guys.

I think I reached a new level (again) in this hobby.

I have to admit I am really sick: RDD.

Even more: RSDD (Rolex Sub Disorder Disease)

Quality over quantity

I've read this before.

What is the point collecting reps of other brands as I never wear them?

So I am trully concentrating on Rolies, and that is black dial ones

Building another 16610 with a forum friend is as much pleasure as dating a new GF (unless she looks like Astrid Veillon).

There are so few watches that I like to wear (Ingy, 196, Po,...) that I'm seriously considering selling all the others.

After having build a 16610 MBW with Tribal, coming from the TTK Group buy, and sold it to a great person here, building a new 16610 is so exiting.

The watch comes from Asia, the dial from the US, who knows where the crystal is going to come from, ...

It's like a new adventure.

I own a gen Explorer ll that I never wear. I could trade it and add some cash to get a gen 16610.

But I'm sure I would not enjoy it the same way.

And it would be the end of a dream : "who has the best sub"

Look at the 196 I was offered to buy by Kruzer after meeting the man in person.

I waited for a year and a half to own such a perfect piece and now I have it and saw the original owner in the flesh too.

The wait and desire, as we all know, is a huge part of the end climax.

I love this hobby and this place.

Tonight boys evening: football on TV with my 10 years old son

Saturday and sunday: boys week-end with my forum friends and pick up my Tribalised WM9 Sub :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Isn't life fantastic?

Stephane,

I think that you just have spot THE POINT my friend !!!!!!

The point that makes why so many guys here have gen, could buy gen, but sometimes prefer starting a new rep project : because they will take much more pleasure, desire and fun in a build project than go to the AD, and get the GEN in 5 minutes !!!

THAT'S OUR HOBBY GUYS :D :D :D :D :D

Congrats Stephane.

PS : hope that you have a good GTG in Cologne, but i am sure of this.. ;)

PS2 : i see that Tribal will be there .... I really missed you guys :o

See you soon i hope

Eric
