Let's see, it was kept in a safe by an old eccentric for 45 years and you bought it at an estate sale- that could be your story. Or you give it to Nanuq for aging.... On second thought, maybe you just wear it for ten years and let it age gracefully. Very nice- I especially like the gilt hands and dial. The lume on every watch looks the same - like every vintage gen. Where is the fun in that? Seriously, it looks better than the gens. But I cannot believe you hobbled it with that crummy rivet job. Please, please, please remove & toss it as far as you can throw it. Invest in a gen folded link 9315 or solid link 93150. Or, at the very least, an aftermarket 93150, or put it on a NATO or strap. Genuine SuperDome T-19's and Gen vintage inserts and twinlocks were over my budget for this one @ Freddy, a 9315 is on my list but the budget was spent so the rivet was used. I happen to like these Rivets but I am guessing you are not a rivet fan Now I just need to wear it regularly and age it gracefully Just noticed that Andrew Shear is selling a Gen 5513 Gilt dial (just the dial) on the bay for $5,000 Mine doesn't look too bad Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
