It really does show a lack of understanding of what replicas are all about. One can take an authentic watch to the authorized service center where it will be treated properly and last for many years to come. 6. Lack of precision: Cheap replica watches are equipped with poor quality mechanisms, usually, cheap quartz movements, so one shouldn't expect great precision from a fake watch. I have read stuff like this before, mostly on gen boards where people tried to justify spending a huge amount of money for a gen. But those people where mostly knowing at least a little what they were writing about. This guy here is ridiculous. I missed the part where replicas fund Al-Quaida to destroy the free world. He should really add that. Also I am a bit sad that replicas don't increase in value - please tell this to everyone who has bought a seawolf ti or chrono avenger ti when it still costed 200 usd. Or the old smp with the correct HeV. Or the old Moonwatch. Or the JF pam cases and crownguards. Or the beautiful E movement asia... Erm need to stop now. He certainly got one thing right because these folks sure do seem simple. Here are some reasons why I think replicas are a great idea: 1. Fooling people.....or not. I can't think of anyone who sets out to actually fool others with a replica. And isn't that what really makes the whole idea interesting? It's much more of a conversation to discuss how the heck they managed to knock off the gen so well. 2. Tinker time. Is anyone here going to learn about watches by cracking open their gen? 3. Would you rather have one watch for all occaisons or a customized, tailor-made job? 4. Darnit, someone took my watch! At least I get the satisfaction of knowing they'll be [censored] when they find out it's a rep. 5. I'd prefer a bare wrist to a real Casio. And since when is Tissot in the same league as Patek Phillipe? I'm ordering my first rep when Chinese New Year Ends on Feb 4. It's either a Seamaster Pro or a Noobmariner. Wish me luck! It is what is,an enexpensive watch that happens to very rugged and reliable. A great everyday knock around watch. As far as Rep watches go. To me there alot like breast implants.
