OMG I've stumbled on the perfect sub

Ok you are going to hate me for this but I'm talking about sub sandwiches.

So anyway the daughter asked me yesterday to take her to Subway for lunch, well my usual when we go there is a Subway melt with the works form the salad bar.

Well yesterday I decided to experiment, so here goes....

Start with a Parmesan and Oregano roll,

Ask for the Pizza Sub, if it comes with bacon where you are great if not request it,

From the salad bar ask for onion, olives and lots of chilli,

Ask for double mozzarella cheese and get it toasted,

Finally ask for the Chipolte Southwest sauce............enjoy

Try it, you wont regret it. :)

The strangest thing is, I thought of Subways as I read the title, and even stranger is the fact that the Pizza one was always my favourite haha

I haven't had one for a while, a trip into town tomorrow might be in order :)

Actually TJ not for you as all 3 meats are pork based.

To quote Homer Simpson, "A wonderful, magical animal"

I was assured that the meatballs weren't pork, so this is my Sub Concoction:

plain Italian

Meatball marinara

Cheese slices (double)

Grated cheese

Sweetcorn

Onions

Mayo

Toasted

Good eating :)

I dunno man, sounds like it may have blubber in it. Something Survivor Man would scrape up kicking around an Aleutian tidal pool. Pass. :)

lots of chilli

They don't hae chili at the subways here in Florida. Do you mean jalapeno peppers?

"I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all..."

I am Jewish and I will eat a pigs ass if its cooked right...........Pork is delicious. :p

@Kenberg: What did you smoke before you entered subway and came up with that concoction? Sounds like the munchies to me.

I feel very bad for all of you folks who rely on subway for good sandwiches. You haven't had a sub until you have had a whitehouse sub in Atantic City. Second prize goes to Laspada here in south Floria

I have to admit, even before I converted, and pork went 'off the menu', it was probably my least favorite of the meats. A greasy bacon sandwich on occasion, if I was in the right mood for one, was about as much of it as I ever ate

I couldn't think of a better way to stoke the fire of a even a mild case of gastric reflux...

Indeed, hence the little health warning I tacked on to the end. B)

Now for all you Americans who like to come up with fancy names for food.....

Jalapeno peppers = Chilli

Bell Peppers = Capsicum....which of course is in the Chilli family too.

Sounds semi-italian until the chipolte sauce. Mexican marinara? How... continental of you.

But i'm Italian so, really, you had me at parmesan.
