Please! Lets not make him out to be a hero. Reality check is Mike brought this all on himself. He should be apologizing to his customers and then we can all move one. Instead, we're now going to vilify the people that had absolutely horrible customer service. I'm sure Mike's a great guy and I'm happy for all the good work he's done. But let's get at least a little mea culpa and maybe the people that got absolutely horrible service can move on. This whole nonsense is about taking care of customers properly and nobody seems to realize it. And, yes, he did pretty much tell all the forum members to F off!

What movement does your watch have? Also note that changing the day/date when the time is near midnight can cause damage to your movement.

Now this is entirely my own experience mate having bought loads of ladies watches for the Mrs and my Mum.... First off it depends what you mean by small.... but The best OTB ladies rep i have had in my hands is the Tag Link..... it is almost flawless..the only flaw I could find was the CB model number was a digit off (but on some its correct, generally the reps use the non CZ numbers so if it a CZ model it has the non CZ model number and as with most TAGs the logo in the flip lock clasp is not quite as deep...but its negligible... The MOP dials also look very nice too... My Mum wears hers every day...day in day out....its still going after 3 years without any issue.... it has had one battery swap and a quick clean and polish... the bracelet takes a beating because of the way she wears it so loose biut again no issue...a few of her friends are big into watches ..one guy buys gens like guys buy reps here...he does know his stuff but some of his comments are funny any way I digress...long and short is that he has studied thsi watch against his mans TAG etc etc and has declared it gen.... in my Mums circle thats good enough for me It cost around $100 Other than that... I have liked the Chanel J12 and mini J12 ceramics (dial depending some are good some not so good) and Cartiers.... I am about to pull the trigger on the new FM ladies MS but that has CZ around bezel so not really your thing...

PS That being said I think Mike already told everybody to F%#K off twice anyway so that horse left the stable.

So, should he tell these others to *@ off before or after he addresses why he posted a pic of their property in a for sale ad on Facebook? And why would he ever post a replica watch pic on a mainstream board like Facebook to begin with? But I guess that was everyone else's fault as well. No matter how much good modding work one has done for certain members, it's hard to find an honorable answer to these questions. One's true character always shines through when the going gets tough.

You're welcome. The gens are quartz and so are the reps, £100 compared to gens starting at £3k. My wife doesn't care if it's battery or movement or powered by fairy dust as long as it looks 'pretty'!

2836-2 is the easiest route to go. You will just need a thin rep overlay. If you want to use a genuine rolex date disc, you will either have to sand it down until it is very thin. Or, use an ETA 2824-2. It is more complicated, as you will need to swap out the cannon pinion, hour wheel, 4th wheel to a taller hand fitting height in order for the hands to clear the dial markers. Easy job for a watch maker. This way the thicker genuine disc will fit between the dial and movement and turn without getting snagged or hung up. I have a holder that will work for either movement in the 16000 case. I also have some genuine 3135 date discs in champagne. (same date progression as eta) They are rare open 6 and 9 font. Will be perfect for the 16000, as the modern fonts are now all closed, and smaller. hope this helps.
