  4. Dang. Big respect... I had mine relumed by an extremely well known modder and your work is far better than his. Seriously.

  5. The dials had radium lume plots in the 50s, so a lot of the 'beat up' look is from radioactive decay. Glossy dials that are still glossy 60+ years later with radium markers are most certainly fake or had the radium/tritium stripped many many years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Wow, that's nice. Did you do the lume yourself?

  9. This should be quite easy to make, there are no markers and studs on the side, the only challenge is the sunburst and the right colour dial. I can possibly ask dad to see if he can get it done in Vietnam Sent from my SM-N930F using Tapatalk

  12. speaking as someone who also didn't have patience, eventually you find a model that you just love so much you gotta figure out how to build it perfectly. or, to as much time/money as you're able to put in. you learn to be patient while you're building it

  14. I love this thread, Come on guys feed us. I'm learning so much from you guys! I'm currently waiting for Jensen to get back to me while I'm gathering parts for a 6263 with a prototype dial I'm having made for this watch. I know... but I'm deeply in love with this dial

  16. @Paris, here's a very early DW dial, from the first batch of prototype photos he sent me and Halley. Notice the serifs in the subdials and the spacing between the subdial numerals and their perimeter dished steps.

  18. Amazing!!! This is the only two tone watch I have ever liked, and this one is perfect shades of blue. I would love to build one of these one day, this one is inspirational! I prefer your dial to your coworkers gen!!!

  19. You are not alone lataule. I registered a few months ago for the exact same reasons. Cannot express enough what it meant to finally lay my hands on a Franken build by MMM. The smooth transactions with him encouraged me in the first place to become more active on this forum and `give something back to the community`.

  20. I agree 100%. I consider Matt a friend, and a true gentleman. He is without a doubt the "go to" guy for Rolex builds. Matt lives in what I would consider the Rolex capital of the world. No doubt if Texas was to have a "state watch", like a "state flower or song" Rolex would win in a landslide. Because of this there is a huge demand for Rolex watches in the area. Matt has created a very nice niche, providing high quality watches using lots of genuine parts. He has built several very nice watches for me, and I would recommend him with no hesitation.
