  1. OK so this belongs to a member here. Basically, the mods done to the watch so far are: - dial color mod to a lighter and more accurate grey - dial laminate and refinished as per gen - Sandblasted pushers - Mikey red modern font datewheel - service and swiss ETA mainspring installed - custom cyclop installed - trimmed and recolored cyclop ring as per gen - Tachy ring trimmed Mods not completed: - The "tracks" in the blue ring around the dial needs to be re-printed at the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock area. - Possible re-print of the Audemars Piguet text on dial - To increase weight of watch to 295g as per gen For those interested, please stay tuned, I will add pictures as the watch is being completed.

  3. Well guys just saw this at Basil and loving it. https://www.tudorwatch.com/watches/new-1926/m91550-0002 Now a 39 W/ 100mm water proof and understated , my kinda watch . Now look at the price @ 1800 hundred not going to break the bank. case sizes 28,36,39 and 41 that covers most that want a conservative watch like this. https://gearpatrol.com/2018/03/23/tudor-1926-baselworld-2016/#2 Gotta love it. The 39 for me but you have options! By the way love this opener from worn and wound. March 26, 2018 Words By Allen Farmelo Share this story: We live in a time when rugged-looking tool watches regularly get paired with formal wear, but then again so do wrinkled work boots, gnarly beards, and worn denim—all of which were once blasphemy at the office or cocktail bar. The Tudor 1926 harkens back to that era when, even if you’d just swum the English Channel or scaled The Matterhorn, you shaved and tuxed up for the evening’s affairs. Meanwhile, your wristwatch—of which you owned just one—needed to withstand rugged adventure while looking downright debonair. I call such timepieces dressy tool watches, or DTWs. Although I have many watches like many always looking for the one as I come from humble origins you had "A" watch it told time that was it's purpose. I remember my dad he had a watch "Dad's watch" that was it wore it forever. Could this be it seems to check all the boxes, guess only one way to find out.......... 13. For those interested in printing their own dial, Microcenter has the printer that prints up to 9600 dpi on sale for $39.99. I recently upgraded my old Canon printer, also 9600 dpi, to this one. You'd need to dial it back and find the best setting for your project because at the highest dpi setting it makes puddles of ink. Link: Canon MX922 at Microcenter $39.99
