  1. Refinished Vietnam case and custom dial. Nice gloss finish on the dial with a fine white 3D print. Extra flat lume as it should on GMTs to allow the GMT hand to operate smoothly.

  3. I like it also for the small size, and it is very thin as well! I have a small wrist and it fits perfectly! Compared to lmpo the lmpo seems a brick!

  4. Thank you, it really is. The watch head was sent to me for free when I bought an AP of a great member. I had it on leather but I then bought this 21mm bracelet for it on EBay. I love not having the Cyclops on it. 21j movement inside but highly accurate time keeping. A shot from last night.

  6. Planning to buy a Vintage Daytona 6263. What movement would be a "better" choice? 7750 or Venus Handwind. And is there a big difference? I know for sure that the 7750 is more tricky then handwind or am i wrong?

  7. Looks like it doesn't have the correct asymmetrical pushers characteristic of the true V-72 Daytonas. Just depends on how critical that feature is for you.

  9. Beautiful watch sir. Don't let it become a "Safe Queen" !! Wear it on occasions when you feel like you aren't going to put it in danger, but by all means wear it.

  18. Free advice: Don't get robbed by a watch parts supply house unless you are in a hurry. Look in the phone directory and see if there is a tool, bolt and screw specialty store in town and call them about the taps. I bought the taps 5 for $25 from a tool/screw shop. They were PRO-CUT brand, very good quality. If I bought 25, they were $4 each. Five was enough... Amazon also has 3.0 x .35mm tap sets for $21.30, free delivery. "Includes 1 each: Taper, Plug & Bottoming Tap." https://www.amazon.com/3-0mm-35mm-Tap-Set-Sets/dp/B00M89XOOA/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1522862462&sr=1-1&keywords=3.0mm+x+.35mm+metric+tap Here they are for less than $4 each including delivery: eBay item number 231977555390 Here is an explanation of the different types of taps: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tap_and_die 'Plug Tap' is usually the type needed.

  19. There is no reason why the beat rate would affect either the price or the depth of a movement. Other factors such as the quality of the design and materials would have a much greater effect. Unless both gen and rep are side by side only the truly obsessed could actually tell the difference in the sweep. Rep makers look to use movements that are readily available to them, which is often the Asian 2824, 2836 and Miyota clones. Only watches likely to sell in extremely high number justify cloning the original movements. Currently only the Rolex 3135 and now 4130 to my knowledge
