  1. Interesting, I never liked the designs on these enough to buy the gens, but a much less expensive replica could be nice.
  2. Davidsen's newest 111H, will not just have it on tomorrow but will hopefully have time for better pics and a short review.
  3. IMO,,,the AR is the best out there...I don't think it is external, which is more a matter of preference, but the internal AR is great. Also, I think the silver would work well too..
  4. Great work phoband!! I admit, I like your strap and buckle much better than the ones I used. The hands are growing on me, it really gives it a very original look and I know first hand the lum in great on those. I'm considering putting in a nice upgraded skeleton movement in mine with blued hands. Anyway,,,nice work and congrats...
  5. I fixed the bracelet on this,,so will have on at least a while...
  6. Looks gen to me, I've never seen the correct "officine panerai" on any rep movement.
  7. Yes, I would keep trying. IMO, silix looks like a good place to pick this up, I liked the casino royale and communication has been good for me.
  8. Thanks,,,it is a Davidsen pam 249, but I got it without any panerai markings. It's 47mm, which is a little big, but I still really like it, the blue hands are really nice.
  9. Thanks,,I'll looks again, it would be strange to use two different dial types...
  10. I agree,,,and since I'm actually interested in the blue model, I'll wait and see what the ETA versions look like.
  11. I always thought this one would be hard to buy just from a picture,,,seems hard to tell who's got the best dial. I've seen the gen and looks difficult to get the right look.
  12. Great combo Bazz,,,here is mine for the day
  13. Gold hands on monday,,,blue on tuesay..
  14. Thanks, sorry, that is what I meant, it is the bearings that was the difference. This was a close one, after a few glasses of wine last night I almost picked this one up but something just didn't feel right. I don't think the seller knew this, but after confronting the person they revised it as a non-Eta movement but no price change. Oh well....saved myself some money
  15. Thanks,,,,,,and a plastic movement holder? this is supposed to be a RXW sub homage watch, the same brand that makes the MM20 so that just doesn't seem to fit for the price. I think the rotor gives it away, I couldn't find any eta 2824, 2836, 2846, 2892 that has a single screw holding down the rotor.
  16. thanks,,,,,,,,miyota was what totally came to mind,,,,,not that it is a bad movement but just not worth 350,,,,,,,
  17. Any advice would be helpful,,,this is being sold as and RXW sub hommage with a rep dial change,,,,the problem is the movement, sorry for the bad pic, looks likes Asian to me. Going for 350, so any help would be nice.
  18. Impressive.....I'm going to have to put this one on my list...very nice.
  19. At some point, I will pick up a Jochen Benzinger, you really can't replicate this kind of stuff.
  20. it's the least I could do considering how much time I spend here. Good luck.
  21. This has turned into an interesting project for me in many ways. It is only my second online survey and I was surprised by the length of time people participated. Seems like I would set a deadline and people were still participating; even just a few weeks ago people were still filling out the survey and I really needed all the data I could get. This is really great, my absolute sincere thanks to all that took there time to help me with this. Almost 200 people from RWG helped me out with this. While I hope this will be informative at least some small degree as to why we are into this, I've looked at the data and the central hypothesis doesn't seem to have been supported. I was hoping to help figure out the emotional tension between those that enjoy replicas and those that strongly criticize everything related to replicas and I may not have worked that out just yet. However, there were several ideas I was testing, and plan to have a short and hopefully interesting paper all will have access to by the end of summer, which is only a few weeks for me. thanks again RWG,,,your time is appreciated. (I'm going to close the survey and no more data will be collected)
  22. Interesting, a skeleton movement with a dial. I really like it but would have enjoyed seeing it without a dial. I don't think anyone has done a skeleton radiomir yet. Nice work...
  23. Literally just off the bench 15 mins ago. Can't decide to wear it dial side up or down?
  24. It would be a long list, and I'm terrible with names but I think flavor flav's originals and mods stand out as a personal favorite.
  25. I went swimming with mine many times without any problems, then the case tube broke off and I couldn't even get it around some fog without worries. It was the one with the threads inside the tube, seemed to be an issue.
