  1. You know though i am looking at that and only seeing the CGs that need a bit off the inside and drill the lugs for gen bars, add a bit of age to the case ect and you have a pretty wearable watch
  2. I think Narikaa has been able to get some
  3. I will go and stand in the corner now then?
  4. I would have thought that you can push the crystal retaining ring with your thumbs and the pull the bezel with your fingers, if that wont work, i think i would use a crystal press, I have never had a crystal retaining ring pop off that easy though is that the right ring or the right crystal
  5. Would that not then be a 5514? edit they were non chronometers wernt they
  6. I will let you know in a week or so i just put an MBW red sub dial under a UV light, i may even try to set up a magnifing lense above Bob dident you go somewhere hot a while ago and noticed your dial changing, i remember a post?????
  7. Na for the job you do i would go for a g shock, if you want to look good and still wear a nice watch then maybe a quartz seamaster.
  8. Wow there is a lot of thought in these lists, apart fom world peace i will go with your choices below, in particular a trip to alaska with Bob, I think that would be a once in a life time experience, to see the views that he sees on a daily basis.
  9. I have to agree it is not great and the bits fall off
  10. The OS is found in mnyy variations in most chronos from the east (Gens) a very reliable one as far as i have heard
  11. The movement type would realy need to be known and reraly the watch its self, some would be any easy lume job and some very hard, like a slevin. I know that Caruwe in germany will charge about €60 for AR on a crystal
  12. It may still be hit and miss but the differences are not that great only people like us see them to be honest
  13. Nice Opal, slick Dick, mate of mine is a bit of a fan of them too
  14. Still this one, goto change tomorrow though
  15. Welcome to RWG, that 1911 will be nice, the porto is a stunner but can be problematic as you have proberbly read.
  16. ohhh that is spooky, Did you wait for that or did it just happen? Congrats on 2k
  17. I was looking at a box of different gen ETA 7750 date and day wheels and there were differences in those as well so it may not just be IWC, there are differences in batches from ETA as far as i can see
  18. generaly just needs a service then it will be as goos as a swiss one.
  19. I would rather put it this way, even if i can get the same product from shop A as shop B but shop B costa a little more but i have always got good service from there and i know the owner then shop B will always get my custom. I have bought from Ken, it is a loverly suit that gets worn quite a bit and it is now over 3 years old and still as good as the day i got it. That to me is a good product, I dont need a new suit yet but when i do i know where i am getting it from.
  20. grey market, i think with out dealer stamt the garentee my be invalid, or it could be nicked
  21. I cant see the pics at work but this all sounds like good news Me neither but i was playing with a straong magnet ans a silix 45 po the other day and the anti mage did work me neiter but i know why, at least it is something to look forwad to this evening
  22. But unless you go round giving your rep over for comparisons against other APs then the biggest tell is just your self, A peson mostly be judged with his first impressions, if you get out of a car worth $300 and wear a watch worth 300K whether it is gen or not no one will belive you. I know the small things are anoying but on the whole they are just small things
