  1. Just wondering if anyone's sitting on a gen 42 PO Orange bezel they'd like to sell (needs to be in great condition).... AND... even if not having one for sale, how happy are you with your adding one to your PO? Thanks.
  2. Unless you have tiny wrists, and KNOW the full-sized Speedy won't work for you - don't get a reduced. They have little chance of holding their value. A manual full Speedy will serve you best for the long haul for sure. My .02
  3. Yes, this is a nice pearl. Fix this one and keep it.
  4. Best way to check if watch is stolen ? 1. Look in your watch box. 2. Look on your wrist. If its in neither location, it's been stolen!
  5. This illustrates to things for me: 1) ALWAYS take pictures of my watch from various angles to be able to show the condition of the watch as sent. 2) Don't get to upset if something starts off wrong in a sale or purchase as "things happen" - but - with good communication (as ultimately happened here) - things can often work out. 3) Never look to Pete for support in a discussion.
  6. Yes, gen. Didn't know if its a common version or something to treat with xtra care. She has seen better days that's for sure.
  7. I've got this Rollie insert I don't know anythign about. Someone gave it to me some time back without details about which model she came from. Standard sub - or - something else? Thanks...
  8. Thanks Cro, My smith will do the install if I go this route. Can grab one in Oakland (just north of me) at Ofrei - just wasn't sure about the expenditure. Will give it more thought. Have that Omega won't just sell the inserts themselves...
  9. Was the difference worth those cost? I have a Swiss movement PO 42 with Sunnydale Xtal and I like well enough and the insert has a nice color to it - but there's a tiny spot on the insert where the orange has been removed (two pin heads in size). It doesn't drive me nuts, but I like my watches to be as good as possible so I've toyed with the swap. Want to know if you were happy with the results. (and yes, mine supposedly will take the gen parts - v.4 or 5 don't recall)... TIA
  10. With 20K posts, I guess you know what you're talking about I'm not MOAB but it was an interesting read. Thanks.
  11. I have good news. Yes, it is; they close the lid and write the final date. No worries mate.
  12. http://www.ziebart.com/ Sorry, really I am.
  13. Sorry, I already sold the rep I'd never sell. Already sourcing parts for the watch I'll never buy.
  14. I know Admins on different boards have different philosophies etc - but don't guess any of them would want a CONFIRMED scammer to run their boards. So, was thinking some degree of coordination might be helpful. Also, emails and user names are easy enough to create but for some reason I thought on the individual sites identification of scammers was done from IP address. I don't know, due diligence is of course the responsibility of each, but I just wish there were more that could be done to address this... frustration I guess... hate to lose money, hate to see other good folk do the same.
  15. There's just to many folk coming pulling stunts these days. Seems like the 3 main boards should come up with a good form of Admin Communication and agreed to STICKY (across all sites) that lists the name/s of these folk so they can be avoided. It could be they contact others by off-forum (private) emails from prior forums dealings offering "X" piece for sale... "In case you're interested". Unless a user name is listed pubically, someone might enter into a side deal that will costs them big time. Don't want to do that ... don't want anyone else to either...
  16. Numerologist predict your willey will fall of in 7 days. Sorry dude, sometimes too many lucky numbers means something bad.... lol
  17. Pete, how on earth do you get all these great and right on target vid clips for forum threads. What a hoot.
  18. Good for you pam007. My Panda is a 145022 also. As a daily wear they are SO comfortable, nice low-ish profiled and are rugged as nails. Grab a display back if you can, that beautiful movement deserves to be seen (especially in boring meetings!). I can hook you up with the German makes of a nice sapphire model if you're interested. Cheers -
  19. The print on the Caddell is definitely whiter and under the loupe the print is a tad thicker (which could theoretically make it appear whiter). But everything about the print (as with the original TC dials) is crisp and well defined. Definitely like the new dial more though. And that's saying a lot considering how good his original dials were/are.
  20. OK wild05kid05, welcome here... and... should you get lots of orders (as well your straps deserve)...well, then my NEXT strap should be cheaper, right?
  21. 69 is a great place to be stuck.
  22. He was about to go on a trip as I know. Was working on lots of watches in prep for being away for a bit.
  23. Thanks. Just noticed their movements are almost opposites. The LE movement is Silver with gold highlights... the 861 copper/gold with silver highlights.
  24. So, I recently put up my Panda Speedy for sale - but then a buyer emerged that only wanted the watch with the original (black) dial. So, I kep the Panda dial/hand - and in a strange turn of circumstance came upon a different LE Speedy at a reasonable price. So, I had the movement serviced, case cleaned up, added a display back that I got for a song. Strapped her to a new croc strap from a nice seller over at TZ and ... bam... good as new. Happily re-paired with her "sister" in blue. Thanks for endulging the thrill of having them back together.
