  5. Is that a watch or a wearable watch case?
  6. You ask, "Who can do a Sub C crystal swap for me?" I'll be happy to. Send me your gen and I'll swap it out for something else.

  9. Watch jumping on your wrist? Sure you didn't purchase a jumping hour movement?
  10. Not sure how PP will act. I'm assuming you asked the seller if he had insurance on it separate from PP/ebay coverage for a deal gone bad?
  11. I had sent money for a different model a few months back telling Thomas to put her together whenever he had the time. Then the Rouge model came out and I emailed him the same day he posted asking to change my order to that one. Also, living a couple miles from him helps speed up the shipping so ...
  12. Caught me! ... Second horse on left.
  13. Unexpected little package showed up in my mailbox today. Was giddy as I made my way back to to office to take a looksie. Giddy up, Giddy up ... this one's a keeper!
  14. Actually, he's just found a new profession. Think he was working as an extra in the "World War Z"
  15. Good seller. Ordered my second strap from him today. Good quality leather (croc leather) and skillfully put together. 90% of TZ's Peter's straps at 70% the cost.
  16. As I know yes, the 2013 us the site he made and uses after the shutting down of his first site.
  17. Lovely piece - too big for my school-girl wrists.
  18. Think my doc likes my watch. Last visit he said, "You've got a very good ticker." I said, "Thanks, it came from some little kid in China truth be told." He got all angry on me and slammed the door in a huff. Wonder if I missed something?
  19. Ahhhh, Mike. Remember when this was the best pic you could take? Lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.
  20. If you stay with TD (trusted dealers listed here) - you can be FAIRLY sure you're getting what is described... go to the AAA Swiss sites and you're sure NOT to. Also, over time dealers stop selling v.1,2 and only have v,3 (they move stock don't ya know). Sometimes the v.1 is about the best - but ... they're gone. For example, some v.1 IWC 3717's were as good as you could get without going Franken/Gen. It just depends. It takes some time but things become less confusing over time.... keep with this little hobby if you want an "interesting" ride... or... just find a nice cheap watch and be gone... but do it with a trusted dealer... you'll be happier that way.
  21. Yeah, never did get the chief to do any AR for me. His stuff was good. Still awaiting my Taka crystal. It will come and it will be good but doubt it will be quite that good. Enjoy!
  22. If one gave full disclosure about the gen-ness of the parts and build process it might not get the kabosh and all bidders would know what they're getting themselves into purchase wise... but... I think pretty much only the rep crowd (the group you're already marketing too) can appreciate and spend decent money for such pieces. Shortly put - I think you'd likely get less for your watches there than here. The average joe will hear "gen parts assembled" as - a nice looking but must be junky watch. We know better. You've got some REALLY pieces - it may just take more patience to get what they're worth here. I remember one member had a killer 6K PN up for sale... wanted it myself but didn't have the fund then. When I did - it was gone... he stayed pretty true his price and someone got a nice piece. Know it's hard to play the waiting game - esp. when there are new watches you want to buy or build - but I think ebay won't help you out. If you do try - don't go auction route without full disclosure, a no returns stated policy and a minimum bid in place - could lose your shirt. Or... try a BIN sale. Both might get killed by ebay - but hard to say. Best of luck... hang in there...
  23. +1 on Freddy's comment above. Perhaps my most accurate reps is a 111/390; 111 case from the Noob factory with dial, hands and caseback from a 390 from the H factory. My smith louped the dial and actually thought it was gen. Some of the rep parts are very well executed. It's not possible to "combine" watches from different factories all the time - parts might not fix etc. but it's often done to varying degrees and with varying expense. When the rep factories don't "combine" into a desired watch, time to get Frank(en)... or go gen... or,... give up.
  24. Actualy, RepGeek is an US Government Entity. Hosting was halted due to the budget gridlock in Washington. Clearly, the rep community is far more important to US GNP than previously thought. p.s. edit... haha - Chronoluvvv you beat me to it...
