Yes, I know this piece. OP really champions top notch put togethers ... I loved her as is...but of course in this hobby, there's always something more one can do. Do her justice my friend!
I'd love Snead but he said he's busy... Just checked sgtguk... Balls NOTmade of steel... Will use a modded or my smithy. Would prefer one of our guys... Other recommendations for TRUSTWORTHY CONUS folk?
I have a gen GMT IIc dial coming and will be installing it on the rep movement. What's going to be the process and should a noob (on mods) dare do such a thing? TIA
I'm working on a Franken GMT IIc and am not liking having everything visually tidy but an ICHS on the kisser. If you have a non-exploding CHS movement for permanent borrow I'd like to hear from you. Can't seem to find one...at least not right now..from a TD. TIA.
markiemark - someone else did the build - I'm just enjoying the fruits of the hybred.
spanster23 - yup, H18's are well made straps and easy to wear considering the "heft" of PAM straps in general. Enjoy yours...
I wouldn't either... TC is a stickler for details and quality (don't we know)... When he says his movement runs as good as ETA I'm inclined to take his word for it and jump on a type II with full confidence. So, I await my type II and will par it with a new gen black dial all for $700. Either get $150 plus the TC in trade or keep the Breit and save for a newer TC. my .02
I think you did a great job showing the two. I'd take Trusty's 93250 and throw it on TCs bracelet and be done (if the stamping should be there... I... don't... know).
I still like TZ for some things...once and awhile a good deal on a gen or nice strap...the brand specific forums are good to see new watches...some interesting travel stories/photo shoots are manufacturers sites or shows... And watch reviews. I even wrote one once...

I agree though the new watch wrist shots and predictable comments grow old quickly...
Trf is a good source. It was not a steal... But I was happy to have just picked up a new black 16610 insert for $200. Ill put this on my LV when it comes in a few weeks. I asked TC to just put the LV insert on the side. Many gen owners switch to black just from preference so its no "tell".
