  1. Cats has told us for many years to live the day. This is gut wrenching news. As a wise man once told me, life is the ripple we make in the water. If just a small part of Bert's ripple can make us take the chance, go for it, kiss the girl (maybe not if you're already married), do something that takes it on-board, then it's a big impact from just one man. A big ripple we can all make from his advice. Raising a glass to you Bert....
  2. We're back for 2014!! Will we have a Black Friday bonanza? Or a repeat of 2013's .....
  3. Your composure and courage in the face of adversity has been an inspiration for years even before this news. In as much as bad weather is on the horizon, I hope every single moment of sunshine is a wonder for you. A wise man once told me that life is the ripple you make in the lake, and here we are around the world, learning from you. My thoughts are with your entire family. Take good care of yourself and them. And then pull a rabbit from a hat.
  4. Good to see you MOP. Verbal, that's a great insight on the rust thing, that should be a post on its own if it isn't already. Big time issue. Also interested to hear more about the blue liquid metal from people if they have any comparison insight.
  5. A bit late, but this is a lovely photo.
  6. Doing very well thank you! Have to catch up soon.
  7. I couldn't log on, but if it's 13 I assume it's like this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ7a3HGnS1I
  8. With Summer approaching* (disclaimer, not summer for half of planet) it is time for a Nanuq StyleTM EXTREME WATCH TEST. Tests to be conducted include: RAGING TRIAL BY FIRE (Technically trial by pizza oven) TRIAL BY LAND ROVER AND MORE... All we need now is a watch that is up to the task. I've had them all, Polexes, Pamerais, Omegles and Bratlings, few would have been up to this task. Straight from Guangzhou or some such place I bring you, a watch as strong as a tree, because it kind of is a tree.... BEHOLD THE 100% SPLINTER FREE: THE 2014 LOGJUST TEST 1: HERE WE GO, THE EASY STUFF First up, trial by fire. The results are in.... TEST 2: TRIAL BY LAND ROVER The remnants of the watch were driven over by a Land Rover, let's see how they do. Close up: That's a little inconclusive. (Scientific note: it is possible that the watch sample at this point may have been contaminated by surrounding material). TEST 3: DEEP WATER SCUBA TEST SIMULATION Starting depth, six inches. TEST 4: DOG ATTACK CONCLUSION: I would have liked to have conducted further tests with this watch to evaluate its suitability for extreme scenarios such as desk diving, watching TV, drinking, and fist waving at drivers. Not recommended for professional bakers IMHO.
  9. Ah, dammit, did I miss some sweet spam?
  10. Hahaha, this has been the funniest thread in quite a while. Thanks gents!
  11. Oh wow, that's such a beautiful thought thank you. Women will love us ordering Chinese crap through an affiliate link of yours that will arrive six weeks after Valentine's Day. I don't know about you, but I always rely on TUOYIWUJING NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., Ltd to deliver romantic gifts several months after I need them. My wife loves that, and indeed the whole family does. In our house Santa doesn't even arrive until March, thanks to the TUOYIWUJING NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., Ltd. Thank you!
  12. You're living the Nanuq dream buddy!! This calls for a Tudor Snowflake surely? Thanks for the great photos, and all the best with the weather.
  13. Hahaha, you're amongst men and friends, no problem. With the time difference, it actually lightens my work afternoon. Looks like it is beer o'clock for me. I'll see you all, talking shit, in a few hours!
  14. Many thanks for that. There's a newer higher end rep out of the GMT. Here's a photo of it in that colour combination (I'm thinking of a different combination for myself). Has someone bought one of these already?
  15. Apparently the GMT is a different width from the regular POs.
  16. Have there been any reviews of the Planet Ocean GMT? I'm sure there must have been but I just can't find them, I've been looking. I gather the GMT on the dial is printed rather than raised. Any other info? Has anyone compared the colours on the GoodPlanet version? Something looks off in the orange and blue, but I can't tell if it's the photos. The gen I think is fantastic, I saw it in Singapore the other day. I appreciate any help or finding links.
