  1. That comment was directed more at Pug's comment about dyslexia and ADD; wasn't saying that anyone was preoccupied by it, just that for something that doesn't come with pigeonhole answers, people do often receive them.
  2. Best wishes to your family - it's always great to hear some positive news. I agree with Pug that some of the tests are arbitrary (dyslexia for example) - in the sense that they have cut-off points for pigeonholing them. There are many shades of autism too for example. It sometimes appears more about categorizing than actually treating. Whether or not there exists a 'neat category' for it, there's still a kid wanting some help, if you know what I mean.
  3. They are using 'OS Commerce' to create their web stores. Also look into Zen Cart and CubeCart.
  4. Absolutely amazing pics!!! Wow! Although you can spot the gen - I too prefer the rep. Now - question - do I really need another watch?!
  5. I haven't held the rep to compare - but the AR certainly is not very strong. Not an overwhelming feature of the watch - the Chieftang double AR was much stronger in comparison - but it's certainly noticeable.
  6. Here's an example of an gen purchased as a direct result of this hobby. It isn't my own (damn!!), but when a family member saw my watches he went to check out some IWC's in the AD and came out with this beauty. Previous to holding the watch in my hands this wasn't near the top of my most wanted list - but, whoa!, it looks amazing on the wrist. I preferred it with the leather strap (actively disliked the bracelet in photos) - but surprisingly I liked the bracelet a lot in person. Nice finish to it. If you have any queries about the gen - now is the time to ask!!
  7. A great result to stir up some interest - especially since the group stages are usually pointless - NZ vs Bhutan or whatever. I was nonplussed when the tournament started but I can see me getting into this.
  8. Great watches! I'm interested in pocket watches too. But I would establish the value before paying to get one serviced - the cheaper ones make great practice models for your watchmaking skills!
  9. Wow - great research on the AR front - sounds exciting!!
  10. And surely even the flick-knife is no match for the rapier-like put down!
  11. Duct tape seems to work most of the time no problem for me.....except for one watch. It's annoying me no end that I can't get it open it. Ordered a tool, waited weeks for it to come from the US (they sent it via Sweden, bizarrely) - and....it was the wrong tool.
  12. Come to Papa!! That top shot is great.
  13. "Go Cards"!!! (Didn't seem like they had much luck though....) Mmmm - Hansa....Need beer....Lovely, lovely beer (Looks forlornly at coffee on desk).
  14. Brilliant - thank you!! Great looking hotel - wow, I think I'm ready for a holiday suddenly!!
  15. Do the reps also come supplied with The Big Red Arrow.....?!
  16. I think (I may be wrong, not a Rollie expert) that the Rolex Air King rep is considered one of the best bang for your buck reps going, and it's mid-size (35mm). Check out the links in this thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=24548&hl
  17. Pho, I had you down as a lot of things but never as a librarian!
  18. Deepest condolences as well - it was a very moving tribute. Best wishes.
  19. The same way you get out!! Ken wins!! You stop imagining you're in the room. What goes around the world and stays in a corner?
