You call that the most accurate sub.. priced at $655... please tell me you're kidding!!
-
  this is like a soap! I doubt if there is even a 1:1 case. The one in the pictures doesn't look like it for sure. Sorry i put my words so strong, but the claimed 1:1 is not this submariner IMHO.... and we've heard to much lies buy dealers about 1:1, about swiss movement, about superlume, about quality control....
-
Somehow the rehaut looks too convex to me... no as straight as it should be... The bezel looks oversized as it overlaps the place where the crown meets the case... on the gen you can always see that; on this one it's a bit over that spot Dial isn't THAT good... even the M's don;t align like they should Pearl sucks crownguards point upwards when looking from the side... not good So... what IS 1:1 on this watch?

Nice... well made video

I love the blue dials! Especially the 229 and 228 GMT look beautiful and i'm sure i'll buy one of them
-
impressive and good looking watch... i'd change the movement for the now available new unitas wih correct bridges ... this new version really looks very close to the gen!
-
Nice collection of Ferraris!!
-
Very informative Nanuq! Thanx for taking these pictures and sharing it with us. Stephane is right... when some parts have been modded it's almost impossible to know if the MBW is a rep or not You gotta love it!!

there's no replica of the new IWC boxes... not of the AMG, not of the normal Ingenieur or Aquatimer... Only a rep of the old box. I asked Angus for this a while ago but he said there was none and no plans of making it. If you wanna start a lobby to get a good replica IWC box, you can count me in

still nothing

Again?? Wassup with those mailmen in the UK? They are reliving the Tatcher era?

Great review!! Very informative, good comparisson and now i am greedy for a YM

Could someone PM me some URLs to where i can find these rep guitars... i am considering a Fender Telecaster in butterscotch or maybe a Gibson LP tigerstripe... I sold of most of my expensive guitars years ago and bought some motorbikes instead... but i do miss them sometimes. I stgill got my self build SG... made it from oak wood as mahogany wasn't available... although the sustain wasn't too good and the timbre was quite warm to say the least i had some active pickups installed last summer. Now it sounds at least decent... but i would never sell that guitar... too many memories

whhhooooaaaa... that black steel version is awesome! On the Breitling website they call it 'blackened steel'...
-
Exactly! I do like the first picture... it's so overwhelming
-
You're right Pug... otherwise it will be the same as in the Slevin post... "two weeks before it comes out...", but those two weeks have past on my calender and i suspect an asian calender-complot
-
I used to keep the golden rule that a rep shouldn't be more expensive than 10% of the gen value... well, as prices of the watches being repped go up, the complexity of those watches goes up as well... and the rep price as well. Years ago i could imagine a watch like the IWC cousteau divers being repped... and absolutely not in this quality! Personally i think they have come such along way that it has to show in the price... but when it comes to some of the cheaper reps like the asian steelfish i don't think a price of around $200,- is justified. But in fact you are right about being able to buy a gen for the price of several reps... there are quite some genuine watches that are a lot cheaper than some reps! A Steinhart diver or big pilot look-a-like are for the same price as a decent rep with a swiss movement
-
Thanx for the review and nice comparrison pixx
-
What i don't understand is why the Azimuth is almost 3 times the price for exactly the same watch. Both have a stainless steel case, saphire crystal, heavy lume on dial & hands and a 6497 engine.... I like the fact that Steinhart offers this watch for an incredibly nice price

i just updated the list on the first page with new information from Angus!
-
I forgot to add the IWC Big Pilot with real 8 days movement... they are working on such a movement! There is also word about a copy of the Panerai P2002 caliber based on the A7750... should also get a double barrel and serious 8 days power reserve! Please do add your information... let's gather every possible new info on our X-mass 2007 present list

A price of around $190,- isn't a lot for a good quality watch, but from what i read about this one i'd say a price of around $100 - $125 would be more justified. Let's face it... - dial with quite some inaccuracies like wrong placed screws - wrong placed datewindow - limited edition while it isn't a LE - case is slightly too thick - case finish doesn't look as sharp as the gen - cheap asian movement that feels wobbly while adjusting date/time - lume is wrong (blue lume on hands, green lume on dial) Of course i could whine about the not real PVD but i think good PVD is never found on any replica... unfortunately. Personally i think it is still overpriced and i am amazed nobody complains about it... or are we already completely used to the overprized cartell prizes... around $200 for a cheap asian version and around $300 - $350 for a swiss or A7750 version. Common guys... this is an overprized watch! I like this watch but it should cost no more than $125 or have a better dial, better lume or at leats all C3 lume, better finished case, swiss ETA movement... than a price of around $225 would be justified IMHO.
-
I am tempted as well as it looks like a very good bang for the buck. @Estaban, could you please tell a but more about the lume which is inaccurate? @Deltatahoe... does Angus have a stainless steel verion 42mm with date and without 'limited edition' ?

Nice... very nice cufflinks!!

Indeed... but this is a cheapo model that is available for a long time now. Only new addition are the "diamonds"... So no new& improved Reverso
