Understandable. He does list as Pan Am, and to me it is like calling Daytona dials, Paul Newmans, etc. When I think Pan Am in the Rolex Context, I usually think white 6542.

I just measured one with a micrometer and it came out to 170... Don't quote me in case I mis-measured. Anyone else have a Rolex definitive answer?

Your options are limited: 1.) PolexPete and others have ruled out the Zodiac if I recall correctly. Getting hands and the movement to fit is too challenging. 2.) ETA 2836 with GMT module. ( I don't care what anyone says these are ALL ASIAN ETA's, at a minimum the module is) 3.) DG3804. The best Budget GMT movement out there. 21.6 bph, correct hand stack for 1675, and the 'newer' version date wheels line up with GEN Rolex Dials. Also, it fit in a GEN Case or Yuki with minimal modification to a Stilty retaining ring. (Yuki adapter would probably work also). 4.) A21J (multi-vendor) with "Fixed" 24hr running at half speed. (Technically most correct to the 1575-GMT as the GMT is NOT independently settable) 5.) GENUINE 1575-GMT ($1500 average for a well running/serviced version) *6.) Convert a PT/Josh 1655 Explorer II Personally, if budget is driving option 3 is pretty good with a GEN SPEC case or option 6.

I find the place a major conflict of interest. Having AD's and brands as sub-forum sponsors does not contribute to a free and open exchange of information. For example if AD ABC Jewelers sponsors the Omega forum, why is it a sin to say AD XYZ has something in stock, or send a person looking for Gen Omega parts to Ofrei. (Names/Situation has been changed to protect the innocent guilty). If you want to spend $$$ for a banner at the top of the forum, fine. But having moderation / censorship control is BS. Ahh well, the only thing that place is good for is the For Sale sections if shopping GENs.

Well, I guess I am a man now. I managed to post something in a WUS thread, that got me a reprimand and the thread was deleted. Evidently HELPING members over there my posting a link to a legitimate commercial website is a NO NO, and cuts into their sponsors revenue. So in short, if you try to save your fellow man money on parts, you are undercutting the AD/Forum Sponsors. God I love RWG! Long live the "Real Watch Guide" where free speech is still possible.

Great write up!. For the record, I have never had an issue with DSN stuff. I used to have Chief do all my AR work on them, and they managed to go in and out, and even maintain water resistance without an issue.

It should hold up fine. I have used it on two occasions. Once on hands, once on a chipped Rolex Dial. Let it dry for 24 hours before casing up the movement so any vapors don't get trapped and mess with the crystal.

Does anyone know how the 2nd Time Zone on these work? Since there is no 24hr indicators, is it simply a 2nd 12hr hand that is independently settable?

You can try to find what you need at www.ofrei.com or www.casker.com. Oris AD's are generally smaller independent watch shops that do mail-order business. You can probably call one of those and hope GEN parts are interchangeable.
