Yeah. Not sure what that was all about. I had previously seen a vintage 1655 (which I assume was genuine) and the indicies colour was just like the above. Personally I think this looks great and may just order one.
Thanks for all the effort O/S. Without being able to remove the bezel really eliminates a lot of options. Ultimately comes down to crystal size as you say. I would imagine that many would chose the solid MG if it becomes an available option. Alternatively sanding down the original prior to use may be a good way to go too (for those that haven't delamed yet).
Very very nice. Anyone can go buy a gen. Like Lani said you had a hand in creating this, most cannot say the same about what is strapped to their wrist. Wear it well.
Is it ETA or clone? Makes a difference as the cutouts on the date jumper maintaining plate are not large enough on the clone. This is the plate that is on the left side if you are looking at it with the stem to the right. If it's ETA no need to remove but if it's clone you will need to take it off. Also the minute train bridge on the right side must be removed. Once you get the date wheel in place make sure the date jumper spring (back to the left side) sits in between two teeth of the date wheel. Once in place reinstall the one or two plates you removed and you should be good to go. Have a look HERE - ETA Swiss Labs and follow the reverse order of the first several steps of dis-assembly. I know it's for 2892 but it is very similar.
+1
As for the pepsi....that one is engrained in my mind forever as THE Magnum time piece....from the episode when he was treading water out in the ocean forever waiting to be rescued. Could be the same episode mentioned above as I can't remember all of the detailes of the episode, just the watch.
Always a sucker for the blue dial eh BT? Actually I am quite drawn to the black dial with roman numerals. Like you I was not keen on the B01 at it's introduction but the more I see it the more I like it.
Very very nice! I am having a really hard time resisting the purchase of a ploprof.....must.....resist....augh! You guys are making it tough with these awesome photos.
