  1. 1655 case .. whatever you do - the CGs will never look right - gen tube and crown can not be properly installed ... but it saves a few $$z if the bezel has an retaining ring that will fit an aftermarked bezel. hands, dial and insert i would keep - i just would bleach the insert, age the case and swap bracelets = decent beater, but not very accurate cheers, Frank
  2. 1000 Euro - okay - who where when ? please send some customers over i have trouble selling some used parts for a few Euros anyway - whatever you do - post some pics - so we can all have something from it
  3. hey why so serious ? the point is : show me one - one ! single aftermarked/replica/fake/yuck(i)/vietnam whatever case you want to call it ... that comes even close to the real deal. spending a few hundred $$ on these cases is just wasting money. there are gen cases in timezone, vrf, ebay .. for sale all the time - they will cost you around the same like the fake ones - why not invest a little time and wait for a good deal here ? and the whole point that a gen movement fits in the case ? i don't get it - a watchsmith with some tools can make your movement fit.
  4. its maybe the whole attitude - building a Rep to sell it with high profit - isn't this illegal ?
  5. on the last pic the crystal sits better - maybe just the pictures its good that your CGs still have the V-shape on the back - a lot of them are done with a Dremel+cutting wheel - BAM - and the case is ruined its all personal taste here - seeing you last pic i would not shave any-more - looks nearly like 2 different watches ... but usually the MBW-cases need a lot of shaving on the outside of the CGs too - even if someone likes the NOS look. cheers, Frank
  6. great watch ! the crystal sits a little high - i would check if its sits firm. the CGs could use a good shave on the inside and outside - and you definitely want to install a new insert - then its perfect - imho
  7. the watch is okay - but why bother ? its Boy-Size and for that waaaaaay too expensive .... cheers, Frank
  8. divers haven - have to kill some time before my flight to the best beach in the world starts i will only take the Sinn with me - too strong waves for old dive watches cheers, Frank
  9. come on guys - get a life ... spending 1000s of $$z in something that will never be the real deal ... you know it - everybody who knows Rolex knows it .... just get a used Date Just or something but Rolexaddict wants to sell them - i hope not as the real deal ? anyway - why so picky now - you build 1675s out of Sub cases a 5514 form an SD case - what's wrong with you now ? cheers, Frank
  10. maybe mister Rolexaddict could stop beeing an as*shole and write some facts why he doesnt like masturbation ? or to make it clear : stopp bullshitting around and write for a change something usefull in the forum - reading your posts is like watching Jackass 3D without glasses.... cheers, Frank
  11. RockNRoll Seiko for the last days ... cheers, Frank
  12. i was just pulling this guys leg - an he jumped in you are right - there may be different revision and so on .. for me - and that maybe only me - are the good/real MBWs only the 1680er and 1665s from some years ago ....
  13. Sex ratio ? totally misunderstood this one cheers, Frank
  14. luck you that you got a special price from ET - must be an very cool Nato strap from $100 and very cool idea - tomorrow i go with my Seadweller to WEMPE and ask for service
  15. first there is no old case MBW 5513 2nd Eurotimes never sold them for more than 400 Euros 3rd service for 300 - when a factory sealed brand sparkling new genuine ETA is 100 Euro ? but you right - nothing wrong with that
  16. typical RG sales thread : "....I paid it over 400€ from chris and i spent nearly 300€ for the service, so 700 total (about a thousand $, but change 2 years ago was rly different) considering also that this MBW isn't in production anymore, and unfortunately it'll maybe never be produced again, i'm letting it go for 400€ plus shipping charges." 300 Euro for a service ? - hey paid 400 for it ? anyway - looks like the watch was sold for 400 - long life the hype cheers, Frank
  17. old school MBW/MBK 5513 doesn't exist only the 1680er with 5513 engravings and older 1665 are the ones to look for the 5513 came later. cheers, Frank
  18. i know you love MBK watches - but did you actually had one of these in your hands ? to the OP: Red Subs are not too easy 2get .. maybe start to find an accurate dial first - will be quite a challenge why not a Sub without a date ? saves a lot of time and energy getting the DW right ... cheers, Frank
  19. i think Watcher used them with good results ... cheers, Frank
  20. Pee Chai = RIP - but so what ? do you guys now him ? its certainly not the end of the so called "MBW" watches but i have its kind of funny that the whole MBK passed away
  21. MBW 1680 = best base , needs new insert, crown + tube, CG shave prob new bracelet too (solid middle links) Josh 1680 = saves a lot $$ - needs only new crown and tube and CG work - but the CGs are a little too short. ... ther are tons of other differences - like Joshs has a nice datewheel not overlay - the MBW has a fake singer dial, but cut off dial feets - both are 1:1 constructed - but the MBW - at least the older ones are 5513 cases = gen 1680 does not fit without shaving ... i whould stay away from the PT 1680 version - its not in the same league ... cheers, Frank (lug-holes + slow beat movement whould be a nice extra on both dials are okay on both imho)
