  1. Freiburg is a beautiful spot. Germany is a beautiful country. Mai tag.
  2. Hawaii is a dream. The wife and I started windsurfing on Maui in the mid 80's. Traveled there every year for a long time. Between Paia and Kaahula was a great highway sign that had graffitti painted on it saying, 'Live Aloha', on the face. That grafitti was on that sign for 10 YEARS!!!. That was the way it was. I hang mostly on Kauai nowdays, and every moment I am there I feel the moment and LIVE ALOHA. Get back to it. What a wonderful place to wake up every damn day. Getting away from it all is what it is all about. Living that getaway is priceless. I will be in the islands this month...CANNOT WAIT!!! Make the MOVE!!!
  3. Right on. Living the dream.
  4. Great thread. Of many of the featured watches the SOH is as close to the gen as ANY of the watches shown. The Heritage and the SOSF are the best OOTB reps of 2008. Seems rep Breitlings take the prize.
  5. Ditto. My favorite Breitling too. NICE photo!!
  6. All weekend, and so Monday too. I love this watch, the rubber oyster bracelet is super comfortable. If Harley 357 had taken this photo it would look even better.
  7. The Movement video is very cool, thanks for the link.
  8. My first pam rep from Eddie - the 112 (no swan neck/no blue screws) was 400.00 in 2004. The 196 was 450.00 from Eddie, in 2004. I however feel as though those initial Pam offerings were all TW best, not CN, and comparitively speaking they were the first of Eddies best reps. Not sure what a good 112 costs these days, but I would venture to say it is less now than it was in 2004. Whether todays product is as good the older original TW Pam offerings is a matter of opinion. In 2003 thru 2007 the cheaper asian models of the most popular Rolex/Omega reps was around 100.00. Good reps for the price. The newer CN reps seem well made, and so must be considered a good deal for the money as well. Two plus years ago I paid 450.00 for my MBK PPN. There are many collectors who think that 450.00 for a non chrono rep is too much money. I on the other hand have always felt that the 750.00 plus that people were paying, and are paying, for HHB reps is really much more incredible. Additionally, after modding many of these better eta reps, the money for a modded rep can increase by hundreds of dollars over the cost of the rep itself. How much are you willing to spend is a personal decision. In the long run the cost of my MBK/PPN rep is 750.00 modded, compared to 30,000.00 or so for the gen. My Eddie's original 3717, modded, is also around 750.00. The gen is plus 6000.00. The very notion that I can wear such beautiful timepieces for such a reasonable cost is what is truly amazing.
  9. Wow that is some combo. Congrats.
  10. Doxa has some beautiful watches. Seems like you singlehandedly have spurred DOXA diver love throughout the near galaxy. I notice these beauties on many forums these days. Thanks for the photos. Nice strap as well, is it waterproofed leather? Wear it well.
  11. The PVD case and CF dial are really beautiful. What a nice watch. Thanks for the link.
  12. MOST fine swiss watches are under 40 mm. Wouldn't know where to begin.
  13. Kinda makes you want to own a Breitling. Has Dave seen this thread yet?
  14. Cool photos, or perhaps Hot fotos.. Nice looking black dialed Doxa there. Have to check it out.
