Wrong place and time, so no photo from me...but...I did some figirun. If I could post my wrist shot, it would have been my Black dial 'closed factory' Seamaster Pro 300. That being said, I tallied this threads numbers. 1. Rolex - mostly subs - total 16 2. Panerai - total - 15 3. Breitling - total - 6 4. IWC - total - 4 - (3X) 3717 5. OMEGA - total - 2 6. PP NAUTILUS - 1 7. GP - 1 Often times when I visit RG it seems as though it is really more a Pam/Breitling forum. Interesting tally here this weekend, eh?

Beautiful pair. 'Closed Factory' HE valves MAKE the rep SMP's. Beautiful reps and beautiful photos. Wear them well.

Personally, I [censored] love,........ the Heritage. People like to talk about 'Super Reps', blah, blah.......well, this watch is one of them, and it costs less than 300.00 bucks. Hold this rep up next to the gen, and they are pretty much identical. This model...'Version One'... has the misplaced letter spacing, but who cares. Wear it well.

I prefer the 5167. Although it is spec'd at 40mm, it wears bigger, more like 42mm w/ crown. The 5165 at 36 mm wears larger too, but the dial is too busy IMO. Still, the Aquanaut is a great 'brother' to the Nautilus. The Aquanauts have a great rubber strap. Super comfortable. My BEST watches, are all EL's older 'TW Best' factory models. From what I know the original MBW's were actually a mix of TW as well as CN cases, but all the best rep watches in the 'ol' days were made in TW. To think that a 40mm case is a big watch compared to a 36mm case is kinda funny. 36mm however, IS, pretty small.

Thanks for the great photo. THE BEST REP........EVER. Oh yea, IMO. Wear it well.

Black SOH pictures wanted - w/ dark brown moo-croc straps ONLY

Probably not. -
None of Davidson's reps are accurate to the gens. Who cares? Beautiful watches. Beautiful dials and bezels. The only issue IMO is the thickness of the cases. ALL these models are WAYYYY THICK. Best if you have a big wrist. Nevertheless All his current rep models are VERY nice. Buy one if you like them.

Told ya...wear it well.

So what's new. TANFO has the best watch collection in the WORLD. Thanks for the greatest collection and photos.

Wow, that is one nice watch. Extremely nice photo.

Can't seem to get my 2254.50 off the wrist these days. One of those watches that I look at all the time and don't even notice what time it is. I can't believe that Omega quit making this watch. IMO the PO will never be the classic this watch has become.

Too new for the catalog. The watch was just introduced in Basel 2009. The black bezel, black dial version is very cool. It will probably be repped eventually, but not for a while. Still when it is internationally available...BT WILL own one. I look forward to his review.

Stilll waiting for the non vintage rep FF 50th anniversary model. Perhaps the last rep I still NEED. Unless of course I can source a gen 60's Omega Seamaster 300. DSN offers some nice Vintage FF models. Wear it well Ubi.

I think...I like Rolex's. Do these count? Wow, I just noticed...1000 posts! And it only took a little over 3 years, not too bad.

What is with the HUGE watch craze these days?
jeff g replied to john7830's topic in General Discussion
Gotta agree with Ubi ,BT and others here. Size is an issue, but it depends on the watch and the wrist. 44mm Pams at 14mm thick wear fairly well on the average wrist. But most rep chronos are more like 16 to 18mm thick. IMO way to thick for the average wrist. However, the biggest watch I own is the Breitling SO Heritage at 46mm and 14 mm thick. The case is really well designed, and fits my 6.5 inch wrist better than any of my 44mm Pams. Most sport watches and divers like, Rolex's, Omega's, IWC's, etc. are in the 41 and 42mm range, and are normally 12 to 14mm thick, much more wearable proportionally. It is what works for the individual. NOT the size. -
I keep in contact with Dave pretty regularly. He is in the process of moving from the Houston area to a really neat place in Portland. He posts pictures and such on Facebook, Flickr' etc. He is a prolific photographer. All kinds of subjects. His stuff is unreal. He is the true Renaissance man. And as many here will attest, a real gentleman. He took me under his wing when I was a noob at TRC, and then on to RWG1. An inspirational person. His health is pretty good these days. Life goes on. As you might imagine he surrounded by MANY great friends and family. Occasionally he talks about dropping by here, but he is pretty busy with life these days. I think that one of these days he will begin to drop by more often. He greatly appreciates everyones concern. One can only hope for his return. His watch collection is amazing.

Since getting the gen rubber bracelet and ss deployment for my old SMP, this one has become a new favorite daily beater.
